AbstractThe investigation comprised physiological and histological exams of 70 women with Toxoplasmosis and 30 women who were not affected. Samples from 20 placentas were obtained from groups, as well as blood and physiological examinations. The findings of the current investigation displayed a fundamental increase in concentration of IP-10(133.5 ± 120) and MCP (220.9 ± 122) in blood serum of patients suffering from Toxoplasmosis infection and control group IP-10 (94.8 ± 82) and MCP (199.7 ± 76). There were histological changes in the placenta tissue in aborted women due to the rapid reproduction of the parasite, and large spaces in the tissue due to the parasite's formation of tissue bags, which resulted in the death of cells forming the placenta tissue due to the parasite's secretions and toxic substances. Abortion or congenital deformities in the pregnancy, as well as impairments to the newborn neurological system.

AbstractABSTRACT
Introduction: Pediculosis is a common health problem. Many studies had
implemented to show prevalence of head lice infestation, but assessment of
knowledge and awareness level regarding it, had never been studied in Najaf.
The present study designed to be the first investigation at this topic.
Objectives & Methods: Questionnaires were answered by 300 biology
department students their ages (18-24) years during February-May in 2020
in Najaf Province. Multinomial regression models were used to analyze the
predictor variables of pediculosis students’ knowledge.
Results: Out of 300 participants included, (98%) correctly answered about
prevention & eradication, (88.0%) about infectivity aspects which considered
a good informative level. Moderate level of information about lice biology
(71.3%), transmission and clinical features (64.3%). While infestation
likelihood (58.3%), and treatment (52.3%) aspects appeared mild awareness
level toward pediculosis, lice survival aspects (40.5%) showed a weak
knowledge level. (82.3%) of the participants felt ashamed if their child/ren
or family member/s infested with pediculosis.
Conclusions: The overall percentage of correct answers was about 67.13%,
it is substandard knowledge level regarding pediculosis in the present study.

DOES CUTANEOUS LEISHMANIASIS ALTER LEVELS OF TOTAL
ANTIOXIDANT, FE AND CU IN PATIENTS’ SERA?

AbstractABSTRACT : The recent study was carried out during the period from October 2019 to February 2020 in Najaf Province. The
study involved (40, 30) serum samples from cutaneous leishmaniasis patients (CL) and healthy control group, respectively; to
assess the level of total antioxidants and some basic trace elements (iron and copper). The results showed that there was
insignificant decrease in the average antioxidant concentrations (1092 ± 112.5) μmol/ml in CL as compared with controls
(1129.8 ± 88.8) μmol/ml, p £ 0.05. Iron concentrations in CL appeared a significant decrease (122.2 ± 24.1) μg/dL as compared
to control (144.4 ± 35) μg/dL, whereas a significant increase in the rate of copper concentrations was observed (114.2±24.4) μg/
dL & (89.8 ± 15.3) μg/dL in CL and controls respectively, at p £ 0.05. We conclude that infection with Leishmania parasite has
a minor effect on the total antioxidants in the CL patients, also, alteration in concentration of essential trace elements in the
serum Fe, Cu may be represented a part of the defense strategies of the organism induced with hormone-like substances.
Therefore, more researches are needed to reveal the relationship between total antioxidants and the cutaneous leishmaniasis
infection.

AbstractAbstract
The present study aimed to highlight and assess the in vitro poultry anti-lice properties of Ziziphus mauritiana alkaloids and Eucalyptus camaldulensis terpenoids leaves extracts. In vitro poultry antilouse effects of the extracts of various concentrations (1 mg/mL, 5 mg/mL, and 10 mg/mL) using filter paper contact bioassay was applied. Results revealed that lice mortality was concentration-dependent for both studied extracts. The median lethal concentration (LC50) values were 3.687 and 1.045 for alkaloids and terpenoids extracts respectively. The results indicate that terpenoids extract has strong lousicidal activity. Further steps should be pursued to make these extracts to be tested in vivo then may be used as a novel treatment for poultry lice in future, allowing lice control in a less aggressive way to the environment .

AbstractAbstract
Definition of fixed, such as those that are not cleared of the virus but is still in certain cells of infected animals infection. It may lead to persistent inflammation and infection stages of both static and product without the injured animal was killed quickly or produce excessive damage to the host cells
The aim of the study is to find out the relationship between the persistent viral diseases of animals, feed and feed manufacturers
The study type: compile relevant studies concerning systemic review
Mode of action: fear of the occurrence of such diseases in livestock to food relationship to the fact that diseases like so type require years of follow-up, as well as epidemiological spaces to appear in the country producing and exporting livestock for food during the years of the epidemic .thalil food and readjustment .

AbstractABSTRACT
Giardia is the most frequently reported intestinal parasite worldwide. The aim of this study was to
investigate the ghrelin, melatonin, glucose and cholesterol concentration in male patients infected
with Giardia lamblia. We enrolled 66 patients with Giardiasis and the control groups consisted of
healthy subjects (n D 30). The results demonstrated that there was a significant decrease (P < 0.05)
in ghrelin levels, while the melatonin, glucose and cholesterol levels were significantly increased
(P < 0.05) in giardiasis patients as compared to the healthy group. The obtained results suggest
that ghrelin and melatonin could serve as biomarkers in patients infected with G. lamblia.
