Abstract

The purpose of this study was to see if parvovirus (B19) was present in abortion women and if certain cytokines were involved in abortion induction. between August 2021 and January 2022 (2022). A total of 60 women who had previously had abortions were included in the study, as well as 25 healthy pregnant women who showed no evidence of chronic inflammatory disease, were gathered from Al Rifai hospital in Dhi Qar city. The patients range in age from 19 to 50 years. Parvovirus was examined on ELISA in blood samples taken from abortion women and healthy controls. A total of 60 samples were taken, with 17(28.3percent) positive results for parvovirus B19, And 43(71.6%) were negative for parvovirus while pregnant women's samples yielded nil (zero per cent) negative results for every 25 samples, using the ELISA test. The distribution of aborted women according to their abortion frequency was revealed. The first abortion was the highest percentage (34/60). the results appeared as follows at first 8(13.3%), second and third trimesters 7(11.6%) 2(3.3)respectively.Interleukin-2 levels were measured using an ELISA test aborted +parvovirus women show a significant (p=0.0483) were (54.66 ±29.97) compared to pregnant women in the control group (2.312±0.6295).the results revealed there are no significant differences( p=0.1207) in the levels ofC3 (131.0±6.049)in Positive parvovirus B19 were found in when compared to the control group(118.4±5.107). As for the results of complete blood count, they were as follows, lower significant white blood cells levels ( 3.534±0.0776 ) compared to the control group were (7.412±0.4661 ), and lower significant lymphocytes levels(1.128±0.1103) compared to control group were (2.816±0.2416), as well as lower significant haemoglobin (Hb) levels (8.941±0.5584) compared to the control group(11.68±0.1695), on the other hand, the results related to the neutrophil showed that there are no significant differences between the patients and the control group(4.111±0.5345)( 3.224±0.2375)respectively, also PLT, results showed lower significant levels(163.7±22.55) in +Parvovirus aborted women compared to control group(273.6±14.59)

Abstract

Acquired Immune Deϑiciency Syndrome (ADIS) is a disease of the human immune system that results in a decline in the efϑiciency of the human immune system step by step to leave people exposed to many infections and tumours. It caused by the Human Immunodeϑiciency Virus (HIV). The ϑirst appeared of HIV in West Central Africa in the late 19th or early 20th century. The direct contact from personal mucus membrane or bloodstream and physical ϑluid (blood, vaginal semen ϑluid and breastfeeding milk) containing the virus is the unique viral transmission route. Out of 80 blood samples were taken from different areas of Najaf city, Iraq, for ages from 20 to 60 years (males and females) to the period from 1/1/2019 to 19/12/2019. The surface antigen of the HIV was detected by the ELISA technique and mini VIDAS by a virus-speciϑic kit. Out of 80 different patients by physical examination infected with ADIS: HIV viruses were the most incidences with 12 isolates (15%) while, there were 66 isolates (82.5%) were belonged to other infections and two strains (2.5%) were negative to any viral infection

Abstract

Molluscum contagiosum virus causes awidely spread infection worldwide. Which can affect imunocompetent as well as immunocompromised individuals. Corresponding native studies are still rare. Current study targeted the screening of the mcv infections among patients visited Al-Sadr Teaching Hospital in Al Najaf Province. During the study period a total of 619 patients were clinically diagnosed with the virus from 3699 ptients who visited the dermatology clinic, Furthermore histological study was carried out to investigate the age effect on developing the infection. patients with MCV comprisd 349 males, and 270 females. According to age patients were divided into six age groups, the 0-5 years age group occupied the first order with 173 patients. Regarding the month of the study, April was the first recording 110 patients. Regarding the histological study the higher the age was the more the inclusion bodies to be noticed. Molluscum contagiosum virus can infect various age groups of both genders. Different samples taken from different ages showed common features of MCV cytopathic effects but with different density of their numbers in each sample.

Abstract

ABSTRACT : Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection is a significant is frequency problem found among patients of hemodialysis (HD). The current study aimed at detecting the prevalence of HCV infection among haemodialysis patients that suffering from chronic kidney disease besides assessment the role of virusin increasing the concentration of some important parameters that indicate renal failure including creatinine, urea, albumin, and total serum protein and glucose level in the blood of patient. This study was carried out during the period from May to September (2017), a total of (45) patient on HD was collectedfromSpecialized Center for Diseases and Kidney Transplant in AL-Sadder Medical City in AlNajaf Governorate. 26 male and 19 female with age ranging from 22 – 61 years. Viral detection revealed that there were 19(42%)were positive for HCV on Rapid Immunochromatographic Test (ICT). While the result fromenzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) technique showed that24(58%) werepositive for anti-HCV antibody but the age group (48- 60) year revealed high significant (p<0.05) in the serum concentration than other age groups. The results of this study showed increase in the level of creatinin in all patients with renal failure, especially those with HCV infection in age group (35-47) year and the results of serum urea level revealed a highly significant (P<0.05) elevation in the serum of all patients had serum urea level above 150mg/dl and especially in age group (22-34 and 35-47) years among patients were positive anti-HCV antibodies. The results were explained to the rest of the parameters increase in albumin and total serum protein levels in all groups of patient’s seropositive anti-HCV antibodies in comparison to negative antiHCV antibodies patient’s. As for the level of glucose were a significant reduction (p<0.05) in the means of glucose level in all age groups of patients seropositive anti-HCV antibodies compared with negative anti-HCV antibodies haemodialysis patients. Key words : Hepatitis virus, chronic kidney disease, hemodialysis patients, ELISA, rapid (ICT).
