AuthorsDr. Abdulmohsin Jawad Keshwan, Dr. Mohammed Saleh Mahdi
JournalAcademy of Entrepreneurship Journal
Abstract

Organizational trust (OrgTrst) is established by a variety of Organizational-factors for instance, perceived organizational support (PerOrgSpt), procedural justice (ProcJustc), and communication. The research interviewed over 400 participants from various industrial and service businesses at the top, medium, and lower positions of management. OrgTrst, as well as its predecessors and later, the causes, was assessed using conventional measures. According to the outcomes, antecedent factors did have an effect on the degree of OrgTrst. When OrgTrst is present, it has a favorable effect on all of the Organizational citizenship behavior (OrgCtnBhr) dimensions disclosed by the organisation's people. OrgTrst served as a partial mediator between OrgCtnBhr and organizational -level components. Due to these outcomes, organisations should encourage individuals to be involved in actions that aren't related to a certain function in order to improve Organizational and personal efficacy.

Abstract

Abstract Extant research has focussed on the interface of marketing and operations in the private sector. However, existing research has neglected how effectively public sector organisations integrate marketing and operations. Previous private sector oriented research has emphasized the importance of cross-functional integration to develop the competitive performance of organisations, and in particular between marketing and operations functions. This is because of the direct contribution of these two areas to create value for customers. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine marketing and operations interface in case study organisations in the public textile industry sector in Iraq; which may struggle to develop their capabilities in the post war Iraqi market. The research carried out 21 semi-structured interviews in the cases in order to gather and to build in-depth understanding regarding the interactions of marketing and operations. The study explored a new approach to investigate the integration between marketing and operations in the Iraqi public sector industries. The research makes significant advances on the extant literature given its focus on a public sector manufacturing industry, with particular emphasis on a post conflict industrial environment and developing country. It posits a t

Utilising cross-functional teams to achieve marketing/operations integration for delivery prior

AuthorsDr. ABDULMOHSIN KESHWAN
JournalUniversity of Salford
Abstract

In today's manufacturing environment, due to the complexity of products, and the progress of technology, organisations are forced to be more responsive to the pressure of the dynamic market by developing, producing and delivering products quickly and before competitors (Bendoly et al., 2012; Gattiker, 2007). As a result, the integration between marketing and operations as core functions of a manufacturing organisation (Slack et al., 2013) has increasingly received attention from many academics and practitioners (e.g., Hausman et al., 2002; O’Leary-Kelly & Flores, 2002; Prabhaker, 2001; Swink & Song, 2007; Tang, 2010). This is because of the importance of the marketing and operations interface to achieve more rapid responsiveness to market demand through the fit between market requirements and operations capabilities (Slack et al., 2009). Despite the importance of this work, empirical research on how to achieve and develop this integration is still limited in comparison with conceptual work (Felekoglu et al., 2013; Paiva, 2010; Sharma, 2013; Song et al., 2010). Therefore, this study is an attempt to narrow this gap by investigating why and how to manage the marketing and operations functional relationship effectively in order to become more market oriented. The framework of this research consists of four phases namely; the needs (reasons for integration), the methods (cross-functional teams), the development (potential problems), and the achievement (delivery priority). This framework represents a strategic imperative for developing the delivery performance of an organisation based on the fit between strategy (time-based strategy …

The framework of this research consists of four phases namely; the needs (reasons for integration), the methods (cross-functional teams), the development (potential problems), and the achievement (delivery priority). This framework represents a strategic imperative for developing the delivery performance of an organisation based on the fit between strategy (time-based strategy), organisational structure (cross-functional integration), and environment (the competitive position) (Lenz, 1980; Miller, 1988). Empirically, due to the need to develop the performance of Iraqi public industry sector, two Iraqi public textile organisations were chosen as case studies to conduct this project by using semi-structured interviews and direct observation to gather data. According to the findings of this research, it can be argued that this study would be an approach to implement market orientation in the Iraqi context albeit one which is difficult to execute.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the extent to which strategic tourism planning contributes to the improvement of organizational performance in the district that was studied. In order to investigate the nature of the relationship that exists between the variables that were covered in the study, the descriptive-analytical method was utilized. The questionnaire served as the primary instrument for the purpose of data collection. (325) questionnaires were distributed to a random sample of The employees are employees of (10) tourism and travel companies in the Al-Najaf Governorate (Al-Kamal Company, Jannat Al-Najaf Company, Al-Hikma Company, Al-Dhikra Company, Al-Qassim Company, Al-Mustafa Company, Al-Bashir Company, Al-Marbad Company, Al-Salwan Company, Horizon Road Police), and the number of questionnaires was (285) questionnaires were retrieved, a total of 282 were considered valid for statistical analysis, and the percentage of those who responded was 86.8%. For the purpose of analyzing the practical component of the study, the researcher made use of a wide variety of statistical tools and methods. These included the arithmetic mean, the standard deviation, the coefficient of variation, the relative importance, the correlation coefficient, and the simple regression approach. In addition to Excel (2007), complex statistical applications such as AMOS.V.25 and SPSS.V.26 were utilized in order to conduct the analysis. Based on the findings of the theoretical research, it was discovered that there is a vacuum in understanding on the role that strategic tourism planning plays in improving organizational performance in general, and in particular in the companies that were investigated. In terms of the practical findings of the research, it was found that there was a significant and direct correlation between tourist strategic planning in its dimensions and organizational performance, as well as a significant and negative influence relationship between the two. Through the findings of the investigation, the researchers were able to arrive at a number of conclusions that demonstrated the correctness of the majority of their hypotheses. According to the findings of the study, it is recommended that the tourism and travel companies that were surveyed in the Al-Najaf Governorate be encouraged to develop a current vision that guarantees their continued existence and survival in a manner that is proportionate and adapted to the environment in which they operate, as well as their capacity to absorb and contain the changes that occur within them. The presence of this environment helps to improve the performance of the overall organization.
