Abstract

Hepatitis B virus infection is a major public health problem worldwide. The country bears the largest burden in the world in terms of hepatitis B infection and will be a major contributor to the global elimination of hepatitis B disease by 2030. The country has made good progress in reducing hepatitis B virus infection. Hepatitis B virus infection in the past three decades. The achievements are mainly attributable to high vaccination coverage rates among children and high coverage of an appropriate dose of birth vaccine to prevent mother-to-child transmission of hepatitis B virus (both >95%). However, Iraq still faces challenges in achieving its target of reducing hepatitis B mortality by 65% by 2030. Building on the objectives of the WHO Global Health Sector Strategy on Viral Hepatitis 2016-2021, we highlight other priorities for action to eliminate hepatitis B virus in Iraq to achieve the impact goal of reducing mortality, we suggest prioritizing service coverage objectives for diagnosis and treatment. First, there is a need to improve the diagnostic and treatment capabilities of medical institutions and health workers. Second, the government needs to reduce the financial burden of healthcare on patients. Third, there is a need for better coordination across existing national programs and resources to create an integrated prevention and control system that covers prevention, examination, diagnosis and treatment of HIV infection. Hepatitis B across the life cycle In this way, progress can be made towards the goal of eliminating hepatitis B in Iraq by 2030.

Abstract

The research was conducted in one of Al-Kufa/Al-Najaf governorate fields during the spring growing season of 2019. The study aimed to evaluate the effect of foliar application of organic fertilizer Drin-humus with three levels 0, 2 and 4 ml.L-1 and three concentrations of Ascorbic acid including 0, 50 and 100 mg.L-1. Some vegetative growth parameters of the sweet basil plants were measured as well as some nutrient content. A randomized complete block design was adopted using a factorial experiment with three replicate. The comparison between the means was carried out using Duncan’s multiple range tests at a probability of 0.05. The results of spraying Drin-humus at the levels of 2 and 4 ml.L-1 showed significant superiority in increasing the plant height 59.38 and 59.18 cm, the number of leaves 59.27 and 57.83 leaves.Plant-1 and the shoots dry weight 23.22 and 23.32 gm.Plant-1, respectively. Applying Ascorbic acid at a level of 100 mg.L-1 showed an increase in total chlorophyll 55.39 mg.100 gm-1 FW, potassium 2.08% and calcium to 2.94%. Ascorbic acid at the level of 50 mg.L-1 increased the nitrogen level to 1.81%. Meanwhile, the comparison treatment showed the lowest value of chlorophyll 52.61 mg, 100 gm-1 fresh weight, nitrogen 1.67%, potassium 1.88% and calcium 2.22%.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to stimulate the chemical content (protein, lipids, carbohydrates, gross energy, fatty acid, chlorophyll) of Chlorella vulgaris algae by pH manipulation, acetamiprid, and radiation exposure of Chlorella vulgaris algae. The results showed that the pH, acetamipride and radiation period could negatively affect the biochemical composition of Chlorella vulgaris algae.

Abstract

The current study was conducted in the Glass House at the Faculty of Education for Women of the University of Kufa to test the biological activity of the Oryza Sativa L. residues against Triticum Estivum L., Hordeum Distichum L., andZea Mays L.The study also aims to examine if this toxicity is behind the decline of growth and germination of the cultivated plants after the rice had directly been harvested in the same field. The study included the glass house experiment, which is the cultivation of grains of (wheat, barley and corn) in plastic pots after treatment with the rice extract in the same concentrations (0.20, 40, 60). The results indicated that the rice residues reduced the growth of vegetative plants of wheat and barley and corn, and a decrease in the germination percentage and rate of germination parameters when the concentration increased to 60%.

Abstract

The current study was piloted at the College of Education for Girls-University of Kufa in during from (5-10-2018) to (15-2-2019) to studying the impact of black tea residues on some of the vegetative indicators of pea plants represented through (plant height, number of leaves, number of branches, length of branches, the leafy area and the soft weight of the vegetative group, the soft weight of the root system, the length of the root system, the length of the vegetative group as well as the total content of chlorophyll was measured (by adding three levels of black tea waste and it was as follows (240 g) and (180 g) 120 clouded to the seedlings of the above plant, and the rest of the seedlings were left without addition for the purpose of comparison. The results of the research appeared that the treatment exceeded (240 g) morally over each (control) and (120 g) treatments in all studied traits. While no significant difference was observed between the two treatments (240 g) and (180 g) in all the following characteristics (plant height, number of branches, length of branches), the treatment (240 g) exceeded all treatments in the (leafy area) recipe (Number of sheets). Likewise, no significant difference was observed between (120 g) and control treatment in all studied traits except in two traits (leafy area and number of plant leaves). The treatment also exceeded (180 g) for all of the (120 g) and (control) treatments in all the studied traits except for the adjective (paper area) in which no significant difference was observed between the treatment (180 g) and the treatment (120 g) , meaning that the treatment (180 g) Cloud overtook control treatment in all studied traits. The results of the research appeared the superiority of the treatment (240 g) of black tea waste in all the mentioned characteristics except for the characteristic (root length), where no significant difference was observed between the treatment (240 g) and the treatment (180 g). Also, the treatment (180 g) was superior to the treatment of (120 g) and (control) in all traits, as no significant difference was observed between the treatment (120 g) and the (control) treatment except in the characteristic (length of the vegetative group) where the treatment excelled (120) clouded control treatment of pea seedlings.
