Abstract

A field experiment was carried out during winter season of 2019 at Al-Muradiya research state, Babylon government, Iraq, to study the role of the sprayed types of potassium fertilizer in improving of flag leaf contribution in grain yield of wheat. The layout of the experiment was randomized complete block design in factorial arrangement at three replicates. The experiment included spraying common and nano potassium fertilizer at booting stage, in addition to control treatment (spraying of distilled water) as a first factor, and removal treatments (removal of flag leaf at 10% anthesis stage and non-removal) as a second factor. The results showed that the spraying of nano potassium fertilizer was significantly superior in the dry matter transporting (2.492 g), grain weight (47.80 g) and grain yield (4.855 ton ha-1). Also, the removal of flag leaf was significantly reduce of dry matter transporting (9.16%), grain weight (5.28%) and grain yield (10.84%) compared with non-removal of flag leaf treatment which gave the highest means of these traits. The spraying of nano common potassium with non-removal of flag leaf led to an increasing the contribution of the flag leaf in grain yield at 39 and 24% respectively compared with spraying of distilled water with removal of flag leaf, while the spraying of distilled water with non-removal of flag leaf gave 12% compared with spraying of distilled water with removal of flag leaf. Also, the contribution of flag leaf in grain yield was increased at 20% when spraying of nano potassium without removal of flag leaf compared with spraying of nano potassium with removal of flag leaf …

Abstract

The results show no significantly differences between irrigation treatments I1 and I2 in most of studied traits during autumn 2017. While depletion treatment 70% of available water gave lowest average for all studied traits except the protein content in the seeds which gave the highest protein content reached 20.12% and the soaking treatments with Cobalt CO3 significantly exceed in the number of seeds in pod reached 8.23 seed.pod-1 , weight of 100 seed 5.93 gram, seed yield 1.13 T.H-1 biological yield 3.82 T.H-1 and protein content 20.23%. While soaking treatment with Cobalt (Co) significantly exceeds giving the highest average of pod length and number of pods in plant reached 6.11 cm and 137.44 pod.plant-1 respectively, and not significantly differ from soaking treatment with Ascorbic acid (ASA 3) that achieved the highest average of pod length, number of pods in plant, weight of 100 seed, total yield and biological yield that reached 6.74 cm, 100.22 pod.plant 6.11 gram, 1.16 T.H-1 and 3.44 T.H-1 respectively. It also found that the interference between moisture depletion treatments and Cobalt and Ascorbic acid was significant in all studied traits except pod length so we recommend the availability of apply irrigation in (60% depletion of available water) without needing for irrigation in (50% depletion of available water) without any significant differences in seed yielding under condition of water limitation and also availability of decreasing adverse effects of water insufficiency in Mung bean production via using soaking successively with Cobalt 12 mg.L-1 concentration and Ascorbic acid 60 mg.L -1 t …

Abstract

ABSTRACT A Field study was conducted during spring season of 2015. at the field experiments in the field crops science department in Jadiryya – University of Baghdad, to study the effect of spraying three concentrations of Boron (0,250 and 500 mg B L-1 ) and three oncentration of cytokinin (0,50 and100 mg CK L-1) on growth and seed yield of Mung Been. Asplit piot arrangement in randomaized complete block design (R C B D) with three replicates was used. Result showed that concention of cytokinin have significant effect on all studied traits. 100 mg CK L-1 concentnetion of cytokinin gave shorter plant (56.48 cm) higher number of braches per plant (11.89) higher, number of days from sowing to maturity (92.11), fertility percentage (82.80%), number of pods per plant (81.23), number of seeds per pod (10.24 seed), protein percentage in seed (%29.36) and seed yield 1254.5 kg ha-1). Boron concentrations affected most of studied traits , 500 mg B L-1 of Boron gave higher number of branches per plant (10.11), higher number of days from sowing to maturity (89.22), fertility percentage (82.45 %), number of pods per plant (78.36), number of seeds per pod (10.56), and seed yield (1262.8 kg ha-1 ). Result showed that Cytokinin and Boron interaction have a significant effect on some triats. Cytokinin with 100 mg CK L-1 and Boron of 500 mg B L-1 gave higher effect on number of days from sowing to aturity (92.33), number of pods per plant(88.17), number of seeds per pod (10.83), and seed yield (1452.2 kg ha
