AbstractThis study was conducted for characterization of 22 tomato varieties based on total soluble seed storage protein using electrophoresis on sodium dodecyl sulphate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) .Sex varieties show distinctive fingerprint (Sanam, Helam, Oula, Kenanh, Shady lady, Carioca) and low polymorphism (46%) was observed. The overall analysis of the results reveal high level of homogeneity was detected. Reduction in the genetic diversity among modern tomato cultivars may be attributed to the recent trend towards breeding for similar plant and fruit characteristics.

AbstractThis study was carried out to estimate the prevalence and potential for human infectivity of parasites in Kufa river. Samples were collected from three stations across Kufa river from July (2012) to February (2013) at approximately half monthly intervals. The first two stations represent the location of the most frequent sources for water pollution: Station where sewage and drainage water have discharged and station of slaughterhouse where the animal's residues shed to water. The third station was the place where Najaf city supply with water Liquefaction of water. There was a trend to higher concentration and more frequent incidence of parasites in the spring and fall, but positive samples were found in all seasons. Distribution of parasitic contamination in station one, determining the incidence and prevalence of human enteric protozoan parasites such as Giardia lamblia, Cryptosporidium parvum , Entamoeba coli, Entamoeba histolytica , Balantidium coli, in different parasitic contaminated samples will provide baseline data against the risk factors associated with waterborne pathogenic protozoa transmission. In the second station worms are the most common distributed parasites which transmitted via water to humans, such as Ascaris lumbricoides, Ancylostoma duodenale, Trichuris trichura, and Taenia saginata, and Fasiola hepatica while the third station were also positive but for protozoa (Giardia lamblia, Entamoeba coli, Entamoeba histolytica and Cryptosporidum parvum). These are water transmitted protozoa.

AbstractParainfluenza viruses (PIVs) are paramyxoviruses of the order Mononegavirales, the family Paramyxoviridae, and the subfamily Paramyxovirinae. Human PIVs (HPIVs) are currently divided into 5 serotypes—HPIV-1, HPIV-2, HPIV-3, HPIV-4a, and HPIV-4b—in 2 different genera: Respirovirus (HPIV-1 and HPIV-3) and Rubulavirus (HPIV-2 and HPIV-4). Detection by reverse transcription-PCR (RT-PCR) during in Najaf/ Iraq during 2012-2013. The HPIV-4 virus is identified by rapid test and RT-PCR using a set of primers specific . A total of 320 cases from (nasal swab , blood ) of human including two groups (male and female), age group about to (25-40) years. Thirty three(33) sample gave the positive result with HPIV-4 virus specific primers. The RT-PCR procedure is rapid and sensitive, and could be used for the identification .

AbstractOne of the most common crucial cancer that occur in femal is the ovarian cancer. Approximately evaluated new cases 21,550 and deaths 14,600 from ovarian cancer in the America in 2009. "Human Epidermal growth factor Receptor 1" HER2 it's once of agents stands and is a protein show higher rate of offensive in ovarian cancer. HER2 most famous protein which target in Herceptin therapy of ovarian cancer in metastatic status in case the tumor resulting of protein over expression. FISH technique used on TMA with HER2 specific probes it is the most commonly prove method had been use and have important role in analysis for HER2 status revelation and copy number changes. In this study we detected HER2 overexpression and cytogenetic analysis in ovarian cancer patients by using new technology tissue microarrays (TMA) and Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization (FISH). In tumors with low malignant potential there is no amplification also that we are found in Benign ovarian tumors. While we notice that HER2 increase in malignancies tumor, low malignant ovarian tumors and finally in benign ovarian tumors. In conclusion conceder the detecting and simultaneous quantification of HER2 overexpression gene by means of FISH assay, might enable the showing of a more precise stratification of ovarian cancer patients.

AbstractRheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory and autoimmune disorder which affects the joints in the wrists, fingers, and knees. RA is often associated with depressive and anxiety symptoms as well as chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS)-like symptoms.

AbstractHymenolepis nana and Hymenolepis diminuta are worldwide zoonotic helminthes. Rats and mice are the common reservoir host of these tape worms, because of the less studies of the hymenolepidid genus in Iraqi peoples, this study was aimed to demonstrate the prevalence and genetic differentiation of H. nana and H. diminuta in diarrheal patients. A total 654 fecal samples were collected from patients severing from gastrointestinal symptoms. All the samples were examined by microscopy using wet mount methods to investigate the worms' eggs and the result shows 126/654 (19.2%) were positive for Hymenolepis spp.
Also genetic analysis by RFLP/PCR using the common restriction enzymes Bg1I and BanII to differentiate between Hymenolepis nana and Hymenolepis diminuta, all the positive microscopically samples (126) were gave a band in 980 bp in their 18SS rRNA genes while “the two species of genus Hymenolepis se recognized in their 18SS rRNA genes dissolve with Bg1I and BanII restriction endonucleases”. It's understandable showed that Bg/I and Ban/II restriction enzymes may be used as an enzymes markers for Hymenolepis nana and Hymenolepis diminuta when the enzymes exceptionally fragmented the 18SS rRNA gene.
