Abstract : Aim :The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of aqueous extracts of Allium porrum leafs on hematological parameters in female albino rats . Methodology :This study was conducted in laboratory of physiology and chemistry at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine /University of Kufa and laboratory of physiology at the Faculty of Dentistry / University of Kufa , between December 2012 to January 2013 on 15 female rats of average body weights (150 – 200) g were used for the study and randomly assigned into three study groups of each of five. The first group serves as control orally gavages (1ml of distilled water) , while test groups 2 and 3 received 400 mg / kg body weight and 800 mg / kg body weight of Allium porrum extract orally gavages respectively .The administration of aqueous extract of Allium porrum for 20 days . Results : The results of this study was produced a significant ( p<0.05) increase in WBCs counts in group 3 versus to control group and group2. There was a significant increase (p<0.001) in granulocyte counts in group2 and group3 versus group1.While lymphocyte and monocyte count in group2 and group3 was significantly increased ( p<0.01) when compared to the control group . There was significant increase ( p<0.05) in group2 and group3 in RBC counts, platelet counts and P.C.V. levels in versus group1. There was no significant differences in Hb concentration in group2 and group3 compared to the control group. Conclusion: The present study shows that Allium porrum extract serves as immune boosters ,blood tonics on compartments of blood ( RBC, WBC and Platelets) . Recommendations : Extended study about the effect of Allium porrum for cut nosebleed and mixed this plant with others medical plants to medicine the patient with trachea or lung diseases.

Abstract The aim of this study is to evaluate The effect of aqueous extracts of Allium porrum leafs on Reproductive system in female albino rats. This study was conducted in laboratories of physio logy and chemistry which belong to the College of Veterinary Medicine / University of kufa and labora tory of physiology of Faculty of Dentistry / Unive rsity of kufa for period from 17/12/2013 to 25/11/2013 .It w as used female white rats giving deferent dosages w ith deferent concentration (400,800) mg/kg for 20 days. It shows significantly decreased (p ≤ 0.05) In the weights of ovaries of white female rats for both concentration s (400,800) mg/kg and the concentration 800 mg/kg i s the more significant in reducing the weights of the ova ries comparing with control group . It also shows s ignificant increase (p ≤ 0.05) in the weights of uterus for both concentrat ions 400,800 mg/kg and the concentration 800 mg/kg is the more significant in increasing the wei ghts of the uterus comparing with control group. The histological study showed significant decrease (p ≤ 0.05) in the number of the primary , secondary fol licle and graffian follicle after dosing for both concent rations and duration , the reveals significant incr ease (p ≤ 0.05) in the thickness of endothelium of the uterus in th e female white rats after dosing for treatment by t his was 800 mg/kg for period of 20 days compared with the contr ol group. In short , the aqueous of leek extract acts as anti - fertility in white female rats through its negati ve effects on the genitals ovaries and uterus, Effect of aqueous of l eek extract for two concentration on the weight of ovaries and uterus , Also effect in the numbers of primary , se condary and graffian follicles and the effect of aq ueous of leek extract in the thickness of endometrium and myometr ium.

The study was done in Al- Najaf Health Department \ Alforat Al-Awsat Hospital. The total number of examined patients were (80) for both sexes (males and females) in different ages (children's and adults). The chosen patients had single infection with Entamoeba histolytica was diagnosed in 32(40%) stool samples from the total number examined. The results showed no significant differences between males (40%) and females (40%) in tested with parasites. The samples were recorded the average percentage in the cyst stages of E. histolytica at a higher rate, where it reached (87.5%) than the trophozoite stage of E. histolytica, where it reached (12.5%). There were significant differences at the level of p <0.05 when studying the effect of E. histolytica parasite in both stages (cyst and trophozoite) in some blood parameters (PCV, Lymphocyte, Granulocyte and Platelets count). Also, results showed a significant differences only in the cyst stage in (MCV, MCH and Monocyte) and there were no significant differences in the other blood parameters (Hb, WBC, RBCand MCHC) among the infected and non-infected person with E.histolytica parasite.
