Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) has recently emerged as a global health issue especially in pregnant women because of its adverse outcomes. Various studies have shown the impact of BV on both mother and baby as well as overall reproductive health of women. Objective: The aim of the study is To detect the effect of Silver Nanoparticles synthesized from Penicillium chrysogenum on Klebsiella pneumoniae isolated from patients with bacterial vaginosis. Methodology: 104 specimens collected from bacterial vaginosis patients from (September 2024 to February 2025) for isolation of Gram negative bacteria, to synthesis Silver Nanoparticles 5 mL of the fungal extract was added to the 100 mL of diluted silver nitrate solution. Results: Among the isolated Gram-negative pathogens, Klebsiella pneumoniae was the most prevalent species 21(20.19%), highlighting its significant role in infections associated with bacterial vaginosis and its resistance to multiple antibiotics. The effectiveness of silver Nanoparticles extracted and manufactured from the fungus, P. chrysogenum against Klebsiella pneumoniae, the Ultraviolet and visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis) was to confirm AgNPs which the UV-vis spectrum revealed the formation of wavelength peak for AgNPs is at (450nm) and absorption peaks at (1.6 nm), and also characterization by Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR) Analysis and X-Ray Diffraction Analysis (XRD). Conclusions: Silver nanoparticles produced by P. chrysogenum has high efficiency in inhibition, decreasing number and destroying the Klebsiella pneumoniae by AgNPs produced by this fungus at different concentrations (25, 50, and 100) μg / ml. The largest inhibition zone of AgNPs was (50 mm) by a concentration of (100 μg /ml), whereas the lowest inhibition zone was (12mm) at the concentration (25 μg/ ml).

Kidney failure patients suffer from the risk of developing gram negative infections, as the development of bacterial resistance to antibiotics is a major problem that limits the use of antibiotics to treat diseases resulting from bacteria.from this perspective, our research aims to isolate and diagnose Acinetobacter baumannii and ability to produce genes antibiotics resistance. Methodology: 102 specimens were collected from kidney failure patients in AL- Najaf Governorate. Iraq, from (September to November 2024). The types of gram-negative bacteria identified using biochemical testing and vitek 2 system . Specimens. All specimens were grown on MacConkey agar , using Selective media for Acinetobacter, CHROMagar Acinetobacter and Leeds Acinetobacter Medium. extracted using the Wizard® Genomic DNA Purification Kit, PCR testing was performed to detect genes. Results: Out of a total of 102 patients diagnosed with kidney failure, Gram-negative bacteria were isolated from 92 specimens (90.19%), while the remaining 10 (9.80%) showed no bacterial growth. kidney failure were most prevalent in the 50-59 age group, with 40 patients (39.21%) affected, and the least affected group was 10-19 years old. Molecular analysis revealed the presence of key virulence genes, including SurA1, OmpA and bas D . The SurA1 gene was detected in all isolates, suggesting its critical role in bacterial survival and pathogenicity. In contrast, the OmpA gene appeared in fewer isolates, indicating genetic diversity among strains. Conclusion: These findings emphasize the potential of SurA1 as a reliable virulence marker in clinical isolates of A. baumannii and bas D gene found five isolates out of ten isolates.

Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is a disease caused by an imbalance of vaginal microecology , Vaginal flora is one of the most important defense mechanisms for reproductive function and maintaining ahealthy environment Healthy vaginal flora is composed of anaerobic bacteria and aerobic bacteria, with Lactobacillus as the dominant microorganism, . Out of a total of 104 patients diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis , Gram-negative bacteria were isolated from 86 specimens (82.69%), while the remaining 18 (17.30%) showed no bacterial growth. Bacterial vaginosis were most prevalent in 3rd trimester of gestational period in compared with other groups of gestational period, 70 (67.3%), and lowest at 1st trimester 10(9.62) . The results of the pure gram-negative isolates indicated that K. pneumonia was the most dominate bacteria with 21(20.19%) isolates followed E. coli by 19(18.26%) isolates, and lowest P.aeruginosa 3(2.88%) . Molecular analysis revealed the presence of key virulence genes, including magA ,rmpA.iucC ,ana K2F the four genes were found in 90% 0f these isolates .

The current study, which is carried out on patients with renal failure in Al-Najaf province, 200 oral samples were collected from the dialysis halls in males and females. In both genders, 75 positive samples were found, females have been shown to have a higher rate of Candida infection than males. Females have 48 positive samples out of 100, while males have 27 positive samples out of 100, The percentage of females in positive samples is 64 %, whereas the rate of males is 36%. A positive diagnosis of samples is made using molecular identification of C.albicans by PCR The results of HPLC show ability of C.albicans to produce secondary metabolites represented by a similar structure of gliotoxin (GT), 16.33 µg/ml concentration is obtained as the highest concentration in the sample15 grown on Minimum Essential Medium (MEM) and low concentration in a sample 1 cultured on Sabouraud Dextrose Brot (SDB) is 1.568 µg/ml. The secondary metabolite of the extract was examined by FTIR, and it was found that there is a significant homogeneity in the active groups in GT.

Invasive fungal infections frequently originate from one of the Candida species. The new species Candida auris, It has a high rate of clinical treatment failure, produces invasive infections, has just been discovered. in contrast to Candida albicans, C. glabrata, C. parapsilosis, and C. tropicalis, which species are most frequently associated with the deadly candidiasis. Most closely linked to a few environmental or infrequently seen but widespread Candida species is this emerging pathogen. Additionally, C. auris is currently viewed as a serious hazard to public health due to its fast global proliferation. Over the past few years, C. auris infections and outbreaks have increased in hospital settings. Identification challenges, characteristics of multidrug resistance, development of virulence factors, high patient death rates related with it, and extended life on inert surfaces for longer than two weeks in the environment. In therapeutic settings, C. auris presents significant difficulties.

In this study fungi were isolated from cosmetic industries, 10 cosmetics samples which applied to facial skin were tested for the presence of contaminating with fungi. Three species of fungi were isolated from the cosmetics namely Aspergillus flavus, A. niger and Candida albicans. The sabouraud dextrose agar was used to isolate fungal contaminated cosmetics. These fungi were opportunistic pathogens and may cause skin irritation, infections especially in wounded epithelium and immunocompromised consumers. Candida albicans grow on chrom agar after 2days. A. flavus is producing aflatoxin BI, which proved by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) using an alternative to fungicides controlling development is carried out and investigated. ZnO NPs proved high efficiency to decrease growth of Aspergillus flavus, A. niger and Candida albicans by percentage of (80, 85, 90) % respectively in the concentration of 50 ppm; while 150 ppm of ZnO causes complete inhibition growth of fungi under study as compared with a control group which untreated with ZnO NPs. SEM show changing in Aspergillus flavus and A.niger when treated with ZnO NPs which decreased in the number of fungi cells, mycelium and conidia,as well as the opening of conidia as compared with the control group which untreated with ZnO NPs.
