One of the broader questions the present paper attempts to raise and debate over, as a crucial issue, is the relation between poetry and geography in terms of spatial aesthetics. It focuses on the southern hemisphere of the Caribbean territory in the historical, cultural and poetic lens of the Barbadian poet Edward Kamau Brathwaite. The aesthetic analytic reading of Brathwaite’s poem of ‘South’ tackles a very sensitive, crucial and controversial issue of cultural and political challenge between North and South hemispheres. The paper sheds the light on researcher’s recent theory that he comes to coin as ‘Poem Theatre’ which could be applied to the poem of South. As a poet and cultural thinker, Brathwaite is keen to make his poetry concerned with a constant aesthetic process of reconstructing the African culture of his Caribbean people.

The present paper attempts to examine the modern poetic discourse of the most outstanding Australian woman-poet Kristen Lang in terms of aesthetics of the potential energy of feminist ecopoetics. Lang plays a key part in constructing an aesthetic affinity with nature and the non-human world. Moreover, she creates an aesthetic area in her ecopoem to attract her reader to be aesthetically involved in her poetic experience. The poet works as an aesthetic defender of both woman and nature by means of what comes to be called as ecofeminism. Consciously or unconsciously, the poet applies such kind of ecocentric philosophy to her poems. The poet discusses a very sensitive and crucial issue of ‘domination of woman’ by man which has a common ground with ‘domination of nature’. Furthermore, Lang deals with her poetic discourse, as a creator and creative thinker, in terms of aesthetic physicality. Her ecopoem is a body of human and non-human experience. The paper, therefore, debates over such significant issue in some selected poems written by that poet pointing out the role of the aesthetic reader in such modern experience.

Many studies have dealt with Toni Morrison's short story Recitatif. Such studies have not paid attention to the stylistic function of figures of speech in the given short story. Therefore, the current 2 paper tries to present a linguistic stylistic analysis concerning this area. It aims to study the aesthetic purpose beyond the writer's particular choices of specific linguistic features. It concentrates on figures of speech category: (1) the schemes that can be analyzed through the grammatical, lexical and phonological schemes like parallelism, anaphora, epistrophe, alliteration, assonance, consonance and rhyme. (2) The tropes include metaphor, simile, irony, metonym, hyperbole. In the present study, we adopt the checklist of linguistic and stylistic categories put by the literarian stylisticians Leech and Short in their book - Style in Fiction (1981)

This book bofocuses on the very aesthetic framework of the philosophy of ‘thinking black’ in terms of theory and practice. It’s about how the aesthetic reader can be in touch with the critical and narrative discourse of black women writers such as Toni Morrison and Alice Walker. The crucial question that could be raised, now and then, is how those womanist writers keep a firm hold of 'thinking black' when they construct their aesthetic archive by means of narration. The matter requires an aesthetic effort and skill of crafted practice in order to make their readers feel and grasp what beyond the threads of their aesthetic philosophy of 'thinking black'ok

How does music transcend individual experience? Is music the filter to purify everything? How does everything in the poet become music? Such questions are raised, now and then, by the conscious reader of poetry in general and that of the Australian poet Thomas W. Shapcott in particular. My present research-paper attempts to present an answer for these questions via probing the individuality of Shapcott's poetic experience and how does the poet's personal and experimental musicality as an artistic motif and aesthetic perspective play a key role in purifying language of its lies and its daily impurities. In the first place, my account is apt to find an aesthetic meaning for the action of transcending the individual experience in selected poems written by Shapcott
