مختصر البحث

The quick and advancing prevalence of the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 produced a global crisis surge with a profound impact on human health and worldwide economic constancy. The virus is known as one strain of coronavirus, which causes the respiratory infection responsible for the current pandemic of COVID-19. The virus spike protein has a high binding affinity to human ACE2, depending on crystallization analysis and biochemical interaction studies. Studies consistently reveal that rs2285666, a polymorphism found in ACE2, diverse significantly between Europeans and Asians, changing ACE2 expression. The alternating allele TT of rs2285666 SNP increased gene expression to 50%; thus, it may have a role in SARS-COV-2 infection vulnerability. This study aimed to investigate rs2285666 SNP association with SARS-CoV2 infection as a first report in the Iraqi population. Fifty (20 Male/30 Female) Covid-19 patients with severe symptoms with mean age (of 41.5±10.7) and 50 (20 Male/30 Female) healthy people as a control group with mean age (of 41.5±10.7) were included in this study. Sample of a patient tested as a mutant genotype (TT) by RFLP assay. The results reveal a MAF value of 0.3 for this gene in Iraqi samples, more than Europeans (0.2) and less than East Asians (0.55). The codominant model had significant OR of both alleles CT and TT (OR=4.26 & 6.7; P-value=0.012 & 0.023 respectively). In conclusion, there is an association between increased severity of SARS-Cov-2 infection and rs2285666 polymorphism of the codominant genotype model of the Iraqi population. However, several other factors may affect disease severity, such as ethnic group differences, sex, comorbidity, virus strain, and others. This study was completed in laboratories of Biology Department in Faculty of Science. It explains Immunological and Molecular study of human papilloma virus in nasal polyps.Total of specimens88 (100%), Demographic characteristics for (60) patients attending to Al-Sadr Hospital and Al-Hakim General Hospital in AL-Najaf Governorate revealed that male were 42 (47.72)% and female were 18 (20.46 )% and healthy group (28) that male were 16 (18.19)% and female were 12 (13.63 )% , blood sample was taken from patients and control group , 5 ml was transferred into Gel tube for serum separation, for determination of IL-2 and IL-10, In the current study, the result suggested that the serum level concentration of IL-10 in nasal polyp patients (87.42 ± 32.97) pg/ml was significantly higher (p≤ 0.05) than healthy controls (28.57 ± 2.85) pg/ml , also, The result illustrated that serum level of IL-2 significantly decreased in nasal polyp patients (12.64 ± 35.77) pg/ml compare to healthy group (28.57 ± 2.85) pg/ml at (p<0.05) . The results of RT-qPCR technique showed 18 /60 from tissue specimens were positive for the L1 gene. Keywords: Molecular study, Human Papilloma Virus, Nasal polyps.

The study aims to investigate HHV6-B, IL4 and TNF-α in infertility male patients. To achieve this goal, 200 samples (blood and semen to each patient) were collected from infertility center in ALSadr hospital and outside laboratory in Najaf Governorate (160 patients and 40 from normal person as control group). Patients were married and infertile. Samples were collected from patients during the period from 1 of December 2020 to 15 December 2021. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technique was used to detect the occurrence of HHV6-B DNA among infertility male patients. Molecular assay results of this study revealed the presence of HHV6-B was 17 (10.63%) in infertility male patients. HHV6-B DNA not detected in seminal fluid of healthy persons. The present study has detected that single nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNP) in IL-4 -590 C/T genotype frequency distribution in infertility male patients. The genotypes relative frequency in patients were as follow: CC (33.75%), CT (43.75%) and TT (22.5%) among them. C allele is higher frequency (65.32%) in patients than T allele (34.67%) in which there was no significant difference from statistical perspective (P value = 0.004) among infertility male patients and control group. The genotypes relative frequency in HHV-6B infections was: CC (29.41%), CT (41.17%) and TT (29.41%). There was no significant difference (P value = 0.849) among patients. Also, in this study has detected that single nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNP) in TNF-α -308 G/A genotype frequency distribution in infertility male patients. The genotypes relative frequency in patients were as follow: GG (26.25%), GA (45.63%) and AA (28.13%) among them. G allele is higher frequency (56.2%) in patients than A allele (43.8%) in which there was no significant difference from statistical perspective (P value = 0.212) among infertility male patients and control group. The genotypes relative frequency in HHV-6B infections was: GG (23.53%), GA (52.94%) and AA (23.53%). There was no significant difference (P value = 0.9739) among patients

ABSRTEACT Epstein Barr Virus (EBV) contamination takesinvolved in pathogenesis of numerous forms of carcinomas, which includes gastric most cancers nasopharyngeal carcinoma, and bladder most cancers and has beenrecentlylinked with cancer of the breast. This study was designed toestimate the relationship among Epstein Barr virusencoded minorpiece of RNA (EBER) withtumors of the breast . 40patients of breast cancer had been regained from the Pathology laboratory of AL-Sadder Medical City in Najaf AL-Ashraf Governorate/Iraq. Scientificrecords were investigatedof the medical information and formalin permanent, paraffin implantedtumor tissue have been observed via Chromogenic in situ hybridization (ISH) method to the discoveryfrom the protein of virus EBER. The manifestation of EBER in the infected tissues cancer with breast most cancers in this study became 50% (11 from 22), in which toughassociation became observed amongstthe communicationfrom EBER and sufferers with cancer of the breast. Even as not create considerable variances between ISH terms of EBER with kind of cancer, age, lymph node metastasis and grade. Depedned on the outcomes of the presentstudy, Epstein Barr virus performs a prime part in the pathogenesis of breast most cancers. Abstract: This work was directed to get a comparison between the conventional methods ELISA commonly used in lab study for detection of viral hepatitis B and viral DNA by PCR. Thirty plasma samples were collected from patients referred to the Babylon GIT Center in Merjan Teaching Hospital. Those patients were already suffering from viral hepatitis B, or newly diagnosed as being infected with HBV and diagnosed after blood donation and a screening of their family members. Patients were segregated according to age, gender, disease duration. Viral antigenæmia (serum HBs Ag.) was estimated by ELISA technique, while HBV viral DNA was detected after extraction of plasma DNA by Real-Time PCR. Detection of viral revealed 6 (20%) cases with undetectable viral load in their plasma, indicating either, the virus load was below the detectable level of the PCR Kit, or false positive by ELISA, assuming that detection of viral DNA carries a high rate of specificity and sensitivity. Comparison between DNA copies and the level of HBs Ag. Revealed that most instances of high HBs Ag. Demonstrate a high viral load of DNA copies. Keyword: HBV, Real-time PCR, ELISA, HBs Ag.
