AbstractBurn scars are among the most disfiguring scars seen in clinical practice, and patients may
experience physical and psychological problems due to them. Combining Fractional CO2 Laser with
Rejuvenating Complex solution (G.F.) provided an enhancement response for resurfacing therapy
for post-burn scars. Treatment aimed to evaluate the response of post-burn scar for combination
therapy. The sessions for each patient will be done monthly. The (G.F.) Rejuvenating Complex
solution has been applied immediately after laser treatment. Thirty percent of the patients showed
more than 75% improvement, 40% showed 51-75% improvement, 20% showed 25-50%
improvement, and 10% showed less than 25% improvement. This line of treatment was safe and
effective.

Abstract: Er: YAG laser wavelength (2940nm) was used of treatment acne scar to different type. there are many different
characteristic, which related to the skin layer, such as the stimulated of the skin. The presented article discusses the technical
aspects of the utilization of the Er: YAG laser, its preferential utilization has been most common in the dermatology areas, as
well as the possible and side effects and hazards. Below are the photographs of the patients under this study before and after
Er: YAG acne scar skin resurfacing. All of the patients had mixed trophic acne scar types, which include the boxcar, ice pick,
and rolling scars, even though, some certain type is predominating, which is why, it is utilized for the classification of
patients in accordance. The difference in the protocols of treatment in addition to the scales of the evaluation that are utilized
for the determination of the acne scarring severity in numerous clinical trials have made it difficult comparing the
effectiveness of the variety of the fractional lasers that exist for treating the acne scars. In addition to that, studies that
investigate the role of Erbium: YAG laser as the main choice in treating the atrophic acne scars are quite limited. which
included 12 patient aged 18-25 years with the atrophic facial acne scars with Er: YAG laser. The acne scarring is one of the
common dermatological conditions, causing cosmetic and psychological problems.

AbstractAbstract:
Background: This study was done to treat patients with androgenetic alopecia by using a new procedure,
follicular unit extraction.
Aim of study: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Follicular Unit Extraction Hair Transplant in the treatment
of androgenic alopecia patients
Methodology: The consultation establishes whether the patient is a candidate or not for hair transplantation. A
complete history, including the age of onset, previous hair transplants, and scalp surgeries as well as scar
formation, also medical, smoking, family and hair loss history were obtained. These patients were followed up to
look for the time period of initiation of hair growth, the growth achieved at the end of 3–6 months and any
adverse events. The results of patients with noticeable improvement in the photographs and patient satisfaction
were recorded at 3&6 months after the procedure.
Results: Thirty-five patients were treated with this new procedure. The hair growth started after three months
and density of hair increase after six months. Three patients (8%) developed postural hypotension immediately
postoperative and improve by changing position. Slight pain and burning sensation at donor site were recorded in
all patients and relieved by taking simple analgesia.
Conclusion: This is a new procedure for treating hair loss in males with androgenic alopecia, that does not leave
scars and it is appealing satisfied for both patient and doctor.
Recommendations: we recommend the application of procedure for larger group of patients to assess their
effectiveness.

AbstractAbstract
Background: Hemodialysis-associated pruritus is a common disabling symptom affecting approximately 22-90% of
patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis. For patients who do not respond to conventional treatments, narrow
band ultraviolet B phototherapy (NB-UVB) has demonstrated favorable therapeutic effects.
Aim: To evaluate the effectiveness of NB-UVB phototherapy in treatment-resistant hemodialysis-associated
pruritus.
Patients and Methods: Eighteen patients who were unresponsive to conventional treatments including emollient
zinc castor oil or antihistamines received NB-UVB phototherapy three times a week for 6 weeks. Pruritus intensity
was assessed using the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and the 5D-itch scale at baseline, 3 weeks and 6 weeks of
treatment, and 6 weeks after treatment cessation.
Results: The VAS improved from 7.1 ± 0.31 at baseline to 3.7 ± 0.52, p <0.001 and the 5-D itch score improved
from 17.6 ± 0.65 before to 9.5 ± 1.24, p <0.001, 6 weeks after NB-UVB treatment. Relief from pruritus was
maintained for 6-weeks after treatment cessation in 77.8% of patients. Side effects were tolerable and did not lead to
treatment modification.
Conclusions: NB-UVB is an effective treatment in patients with hemodialysis-associated pruritus with no
significant side effects. A larger randomized blinded trial is needed to establish it as a treatment option.

AbstractABSTRACT
Background: PWS is a vascular malformation presented at birth and associated with a psychological problem to the patients. Many types of laser systems were used to solve this problem. Aim of the study: To assess the efficacy of long-pulsed Nd:YAG 532-nm laser in the treatment of port wine stain both clinically and by imaging technique. Patients and methods: This is an interventional therapeutic clinical study for the treatment of facial port-twine stain with long-pulsed, 532-nm, Nd:YAG laser. The treatment sessions were done every 4 weeks for 12 sessions and follow-up after 3 months of the last session. The assessment of the response was done before and at the end of follow-up period, both objectively (percent of improvement, photo comparison by using PSNR) and subjectively (patient satisfaction). Results: Sixteen patients completed all sessions of the treatment. The improvement score for the PWS were failure = 0%, mild = 6.25%, moderate = 12.5%, good = 31.25%, and excellent = 50%. The values of PSNR for all the patients have been recorded and were fewer than 25 which means that the response for the treated lesions was very good. Conclusion: The long-pulsed Nd:YAG laser 532 nm is an effective and safe method of treatment of facial PWSs without significant residue. The PSNR was a new, simple, cheap and noninvasive method for assessment of the response of PWSs to laser therapy.
