Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a serene executioner, which can incite irreversible changes in pneumonic vascular structure and point of confinement, developing pulmonary vascular resistance (PVR), right ventricular disappointment, and death. Background and Objective: This study was done at the Cardiac Centre of Al-Sader Medical City Hospital in Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf province for the period from December 2016 to May 2017 to investigate the level of biomarker of Chordinlike-1for patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension as predictive indicators of the disease for detection, diagnosis and early treatment of patients. Materials and Methods: The study was applied on 88 people aged 30-69 years; 67 patients group with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and 21 healthy group. The group of patients was divided into subgroups based on gender, age, body mass index (BMI), waist circumference, smokers and non-smokers, type of primary and secondary arterial hypertension, types of secondary arterial hypertension, and disease grade. The healthy group was divided according to gender and age. Results The study emerged a significant decrease (p< 0.05) in the level of Chordin like-1 in the group of pulmonary arterial hypertension patients compared to the healthy group, the female group compared to the males, the age group at the age of 30 to 69, Secondary compared with a primary and the disease grade group was found that sever lower than moderate and mild. While the level of Chordin like-1 in the healthy group divided by gender and age have no significant differences. The study produced that in comparing secondary PAH …

مختصر البحث

Noggin (NOG) is a protein that is involved in the development of many body tissues, including nerve tissue, muscles, and bones. The NOG protein plays a role in germ layer-specific derivation of specialized cells. Via NOG, the formation of neural tissues, the notochord, hair follicles, and eye structures arise from the ectoderm germ layer, while noggin activity in the mesoderm gives way to the formation of cartilage, bone and muscle growth. In the endoderm, NOG is involved in the development of the lungs.

مختصر البحث

Obesity is one of the most serious public health problems. An important risk factor for cardiovascular disease (CVD), is currently viewed as a pro-inflammatory state with an increase in the expression of inflammatory cytokines, including Tumor Necrosis Factor-alpha(TNF-alpha) and C-Reactive Protein(CRP). Serum Lipid profile, including (total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol and Triglyceride), TNF-alpha and CRP are estimated in(140) CVD patients (aged between 30 - 65 years), in the different Body Mass Index (BMI) in AL-Sader teaching hospital in AL-Najaf AL-Ashraf and (40)healthy as control, the result showed a significant increase(P < 0.05) in Lipid profile, TNF-alpha and CRP in CVD patients compared with control. Also the result showed a significant increase(P < 0.05) in individual patients (BMI < 25) and overweight individuals (BMI > 25) in lipid profile, CRP and TNF-alpha. It compared with the …

A-FABP (adipocyte fatty acid-binding protein), one of the most abundant proteins in adipocytes, plays a key role in obesity-related insulin resistance, inflammation and atherosclerosis, newly (A-FABP), contribute to the pathogenesis of CVD. (A-FABP are estimated in(140) CVD patients (aged between 30 - 65 years), in the different Body Mass Index (BMI) in AL-Sader teaching hospital in AL-Najaf AL-Ashraf and (40) healthy as control, the result showed a significant increase (P < 0.05) in A-FABP in CVD patients compared with control. Also the result showed a significant increase (P < 0.05) in individual patients (BMI < 25) and overweight individuals (BMI > 25, BMI > 30, BMI > 40) in A-FABP compared with the control group. Further, there was evidence of worsening BMI with cardiovascular risks also The study suggested that inflammatory marker A-FABP correlated with cardiovascular risk factors in obesity,

One of the most killer and common silent disease worldwide is Coronary Artery Disease (CAD), contributing high morbidity and mortality. The approximate of Epicardial Adipose Tissue (EAT) to the coronary arteries plays an important role within the pathogenesis of CAD previous studies proved that coronary artery disease had been recommended to be directly related to the Epicardial adipose tissue thickness. The purpose of this study is to assess the accuracy of epicardial adipose tissues thickness in predicting coronary artery stenosis. A cross-sectional study carried out at Al-Sader teaching medical city during the period from the first of January to the 15th of October 2014 included 80 with coronary artery diseases underwent cardiac catheterization regardless their age or gender. Patients with valvular hear diseases or poor echocardiographic window were excluded. ECG, the Echocardiographic examination were …
