Abstract

ABSTRACT : Seventy one specimen were collected from pacifier of children patients suffering from Gastrointeritis. According to bacterial morphological characteristics in culture and under microscope with biochemical tests, helped me for isolation and identification of 56 bacteria isolates. The study has showed that the ratio of isolation E.coli was 17(30.4%), Klebsiella pneumonia 11 (19.6%), Proteus mirabilis 9 (16.0%), P. vulgaris 6 (10.7%), Enterobacter spp. 4(7.1%), P. aeruginosa 3 (5.4%), S. epidermidis 3(5.4%), S. aureus 2(3.6%) and Shigella dysenteriae 1 (1.8%). Many bacterial isolates showed high resistance in the antibiotics sensitivity test were tested against twenty one antibiotics. The meropenem, impinem, siftrixone and amikacin were showed killed to it. The minimum inhibitory concentrations of some isolates were higher.

Abstract

Abstract Antibacterial activity of the mixture of onion (Allium cepae) extract and hydrogen peroxide was tested on multidrug resistant isolate of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, obtained from biofilm on medical devices and urinary tract infection (UTI). P. aeruginosa exhibited high resistance rate toward sefitrixone and ciprofloxacin with inhibition zone of resistant of isolates in disc diffusion method was detected at 8 and 13 mm, respectively. While inhibition zone of imipenem for the isolated bacteria was 20 mm. Their decontamination was tested using a mixture of onion leaves aqueous extract 10.7% (w/v) with 1.0% hydrogen peroxide. The mixture showed inhibition of the isolates. It can be concluded that a special antibacterial solution could eradicate multidrug resistant isolate of P. aeruginosa.

Abstract

The current study deal with 214 clinical samples taken from inand outpatient’s of both sexes with different ages of Al-Hilla Teaching Hospital, Babylon Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital in Hilla city. All tests were conducted in the laboratories of the University of Kufa, College of Science, Department of Ecological and Pollution Sciences, in 2022.57 bacterial isolates (26.6%) were isolated and identified according to their phenotypic characteristics and biochemical tests. The current study declared that the isolation percentage was 39 (18.2%) and 18 (8.4%) for S. aureus and S. epidermidis respectively. The antibiotics sensitivity to isolates were tested, as it included 27 antibiotics, by disk diffusion method, most of it showed high resistance. Meropenem, ceftriaxone, and amikacin were found to be the most effective antibiotics, the phytosynthesized ZnO (NPs) were also tested on the sensitivity of the isolates. The lowest inhibitory concentrations (MIC) for current isolates were high. While the ZnO (NPs) showed higher efficiency and lower concentrations. This study is important in pharmacological and epidemiological studies and could open up broader horizons to find alternatives to the antibiotics used previously

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find an alternative to chemically manufactured drugs such as antibiotics used in the treatment of bactria infections, through nanotechnology manufactured from plant sources (green manufacturing), which is characterized by abundance and low economic cost, as well as having an effective inhibition of multidrug-resistant Klebsiella pneumonia isolated from children growth. These experiments were carried out in the laboratories of the College of Science, Department of Ecology from September to January 2022 -2023.
