Abstract

This study reports the synthesis of the novel azo-Schiff base, 4,4'-(((3Z,3'Z)-(((2E,4E))-3-((4- (trifluoromethyl)phenyl)diazenyl)pentane-2,4-dione) bis (azaneylylidene)) bis (1,5-dimethyl-2-phenyl-2,3-dihydro- 1H-pyrazol-4-yl-3-ylidene)) bis azaneylylidene)) bis (3-hydroxybenzenesulfonamide), (ligand), through three steps, along with its metal complexes. The final step involved condensing the new azo and Schiff base molecules ((E)-3- ((4-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)diazenyl)pentane-2,4-dione) and ((Z)-3-((4-methoxy-2-nitrophenyl)imino)-1,5- dimethyl-2-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrazol-4-amine), respectively. All new compounds were characterized using various spectral techniques, including C.H.N. elemental analysis, Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy, proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR), and mass spectrometry. Additionally, mole ratio analysis determined the complexes' composition [M: L] with several metals, such as Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Hg(II), and Au(III). These ions chelated with the ligand in a 1:1 molar ratio, and all displayed octahedral geometry except for the Au(III) complex, which exhibited a square planar shape. All complexes are nonelectrolytes with no conducting species, except the Au(III) complex, which is a 1:3 electrolyte. This could explain the electrolytic behavior of the metal complexes. Furthermore, the biological activities of the Au complex against various organisms, including Gram-positive G(+ve) Staphylococcus aureus, Gram-negative G(-ve) Escherichia coli, and fungi such as Aspergillus niger and Aspergillus flavus are documented.

Abstract

A series of oxadiazole- Azo ligands have been synthesized via many steps sequence. Oxadiazole -azo ligands were prepared through reacting azo – oxadiazole derivatives with phenol heterocyclic derivatives diazotized then coupled via coupling reaction followed by cyclization reaction to yield azo- heterocycles derivatives which act five membered ring. The structures of the newly prepared Ligands were identified through more than technique like (1H NMR , IR and Mass spectra) ,(Thermal ,microbial assay ) for all ligands.

Abstract

Cyclization reaction has been used to preparation of series heterocyclic azo- azomethine ligands through many steps , the first step: esterification of carboxylic terminal , then cyclization of ester with thiosemicarbazide , followed by second step which involved azotation of amino group of thiadiazole , the third step was reacted with di carbonyl compound ,the last step involved cyclization with compounds containing di nucleophile groups to yield series azo heterocyclic – azomethine ligands. The resulting ligands were investigated bymany techniques like (1H NMR , FT.IR and UV-Visible spectra) with biological test.

Abstract

Our synthesized ligands started from condensation reaction between carboxylic acid containing carboxyl or dicarboxyl groups with semicarbazide compound , cyclization reaction to formation oxadiazole derivatives which reacted with aldehyde to yield imine compounds , which reacted with benzene sulphonyl chloride or alkylation reaction with hydroxyl group in phenol and other reactions in this work to formation ligands from oxadiazol derivatives. The formatted ligands were characterized through spectral identification such as (( FT.IR ,1H.NMR ,thermal measurements , Microbial assay ))
