Statistical Analysis for Studying Autoclave Test

AuthorsMarwa Asad Salih, Naghm M. Saidik

Abstract

ceeded, may cause a cracks. One of the modern methods used to estimate the stability of the cement size (expansion) is the autoclave method, this study aim to estimate the stability of the cement and this will gives an indication of the late expansion. The statistical program “Statistica” were used in the analysis of the factors affecting the results of autoclave test these factors were (CaO, SO3 , MgO, Al2 O3 , Fe2 O3 , free lime, LOI, IR, LSF). The linear regression method was used and the study were done in two ways individually and again in groups. The multiple linear regression was found to be very appropriate for predicting the autoclave expansion of Portland cement. On the other hand there is no significant variance in the value of correlation coefficient when studying the factors individually or in groups, so, it is preferable to use models with individual factors for facilitate of research.

THE STUDY OF RESIDUAL CHLORINE CONCENTRATION AND OTHER IMPORTANT PARAMETERS IN SELECTED AREA OF KUFA UNIVERSITY

AuthorsFatima Mohsen Kizar, Marwa Asad Salih Tagreed Hameed Khlif
JournalInternational Journal of Advanced Research in Engineering and Technology (IJARET)
Abstract

This research aim to investigate the free chlorine concentration in different locations in Kufa University `campus water distribution network due to its importance and the large number of collages inside the campus in addition to the residential neighborhood of the university’s teachers. Six locations has been chosen in a different places of the university campus and the study longs for two months, the collected samples were collected and tested at the morning for the first month and at the evening for the second month. the tested that carried out for all sample was (free chlorine concentration, PH, electrical conductivity, turbidity, temperature) it founds that the free chlorine concentration level was harmonic and irregular, the lowest value was 0.2 mg/l and the highest was 2.5 mg/l, while all other parameters where within the national standards of drinking water
