University of Kufa conducts an introductory workshop on the vision, mission, and objectives of the English Department
Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Languages, Prof. Dr. Weam Abdul Wahhab Al-Bayati, the Quality and Performance Evaluation Division, in cooperation with the English Department, held an introductory workshop on the vision, mission, and objectives of the English Department. The workshop was conducted by the Head of the English Department, Assistant Professor Hossam Rashid Hamoud, and the department's coordinator, Dr. Maha Lafta Marzouq. The workshop aimed to introduce the vision and mission of the department, which was established in the academic year (2014-2015). It has graduated outstanding students in their field of specialization by equipping them with knowledge and sciences of the English language and its literature, and training them in various communication and translation skills. The workshop recommended the need to prepare creative graduates specialized in English language and its literature to support other sectors in line with the job market, and to encourage intellectual, creative, and critical stimulation among students, as well as to increase interest in comparative studies between Arabic and English.
