AbstractAttendance systems have been rated as amongst the critical issues that reflect domain achievements, and their performances have contributed better to organisations, industries and universities compared with traditional methods that are time-consuming and inefficient. Different automatic identification technologies have become trends, and extensive research conducted and many applications produced to maximise technology features. To address issues related to attendance system technologies, including the advantages, schemes and methods and obstacles, we present a structured review of attendance management systems, with high potential for managing, recording and tracking the presence of users in different domains. Additionally, this study introduces a detailed literature survey schema for article categorisation. Out of the 204 identified papers, 90 were found relevant in the context of this review. The selected articles are comprehensively reviewed, criticised and assessed in accordance with Kitchenham's guidelines for systematic literature review. Lastly, we highlight the significant direction required for future research.
An Optimal Warehouse Design for Crime Dataset

AbstractData science and analytics represent one of the most emerging
fields nowadays. Collecting, storing and analyzing the data
are challenging issues in the field since they require the most
advanced techniques and technologies. Data Warehouse and
Data Marts represent some solutions for collecting, storing
and accessing the data. Good Warehouse design leads to
better analysis results.
Among different application fields of the data, crime data is
an important and complex discipline that contains a number
of complex relationships between its contents, a wide range of
applications and its crucial importance.
The aim of the work in this paper is building an optimal Data
warehouse for crime dataset using real crime data collected
from the internet. Among the different DW modules available
in this field galaxy module is used in this work. The data
warehouse will support the decision-making process for
lawmaker and police departments by understanding crime
subjects, and statistics that allow them to track actions,
foretell the probability of occurring crimes and efficiently use
supplies which are inverted in this paper.
The proposed design of the DW shows more reliability, better
storing and accessing capabilities and lower anomalies
among the other designs. The proposed design was supported
with a crime database design to remove heterogonous of the
data and to apply some preprocessing issues from which they
require data is extracted, transformed and loaded (ETL) into
the warehouse.
Finally, more than six million high quality, clean, and
preprocessed of crime records data are available for the
researchers.

AbstractInformation technology has played a vital factor in a competitive advantage
for various business firms recently. Hence, catching up Investment of IT in
most of the traditional industries for competitiveness purposes due to the
relationship between organizational performance and IT use. In this study,
attendance and management information system (AMIS) was presented in
the industry field based on multi-modules. Modules are management
information, time- scheduling and attendance, and employee self- service
module. The system used VB.NET environment for programming
perspective as well MS SQL server for database storage. The system is
secure and robust recordkeeping, keep employee up to date via self- service
access, easy to use (simplified) and powerful time and attendance, active
work schedules to make an employee happy and keep workers in the loop, as
well, review and exporting different reports for staff manager, supervisor,
and employee such as absence, vacation, time-off, employee wages, and etc
Attendance and Information System using RFID and Web-Based Application for Academic Sector

AbstractRecently, students attendance have been
considered as one of the crucial elements or issues that reflects
the academic achievements and the performance contributed to
any university compared to the traditional methods that impose
time-consuming and inefficiency. Diverse automatic
identification technologies have been more in vogue such as
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). An extensive research
and several applications are produced to take maximum
advantage of this technology and bring about some concerns.
RFID is a wireless technology which uses to a purpose of
identifying and tracking an object via radio waves to transfer
data from an electronic tag, called RFID tag or label to send data
to RFID reader. The current study focuses on proposing an
RFID based Attendance Management System (AMS) and also
information service system for an academic domain by using
RFID technology in addition to the programmable Logic Circuit
(such as Arduino), and web-based application. The proposed
system aims to manage student’s attendance recording and
provides the capabilities of tracking student absentee as well,
supporting information services include students grading marks,
daily timetable, lectures time and classroom numbers, and other
student-related instructions provided by faculty department
staff. Based on the results, the proposed attendance and
information system is time-effective and it reduces the
documentation efforts as well as, it does not have any power
consumption. Besides, students attendance RFID based systems
that have been proposed are also analyzed and criticized respect
to systems functionalities and main findings. Future directions
for further researchers are focused and identified.

AbstractRecently, Web applications have been increased significantly in online services for most ofthe activities in our animation that are based on Internet-enabled applications. However, ignoringprivacy and security aspects of the applications by web developers makes them attractive targets forsecurity issues. In this article, a proposed protective approach that includes three preventive mechanismsthat are: parameterized stored procedures, customized error messages, and encryption stored proceduresin SQL server to prevent the danger of Structured Query Language Injection Attacks (SQLIA) in storedprocedures. In addition, an analysis evaluation of the proposed protective approach with respect to theeffectiveness approach is conducted. The proposed protective approach was effectiveness due to itcapable of preventing the attacks of stored procedures SQLIAs efficiently.
