The current study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the extract of zinc oxide nanoparticles and the drug Metformin in reducing glucose levels and lipid levels (LDL, HDL, TG, TC, VLDL) in male rats with experimental diabetes mellitus of zinc oxide nanoparticles from banana peel extract and confirmation of the formation of nanomaterials by conducting several tests, which are UV-vis, XRD, SEM. 2-3) , as the rats were divided into 5 groups, and each group included 5 males, the first group I was given water and diet only, and the negative control group was returned. The second group was injected subcutaneously with alloxan at a concentration of (100 mg/kg), and the third and fourth groups were injected with alloxan and then dosed orally with zinc oxide nanoparticles extract at concentrations of (5.10 mg/kg), respectively, and the fifth group. She was injected with Oxan and then dosed orally with Metformin at a concentration of (0.1 mg / kg), noting that The injection process took place for 3 days, followed by the dosing process for 30 days, once a day, as the results showed a therapeutic effect of zinc oxide nanoparticles on glucose level and lipid levels mentioned above, better than Metformin drug in diabetic male rats
