The research is studying the effects of the cellular receptors integrin alpha1 beta 5 on the adhesion< afibronectin receptor, on the invasion of Porpheromonas gingivalis bacteria to the periodontal epithelium.
This bacteria which has the same cellular legan, integrin alpha1 beta 5, and how this can affect the rate of progression of periodontal diseases.
The methods that have been used involved phptoapsorption of fibronectin by spectrophotometer and the ivasion analysis porphyromonas gingivalis in addition to the essensial methods like tissue culturing and bacterial culture.
The study has found that there is no clear relation between
the number of the receptor does not affect the invasion rate by Porphromonas gingivalis.
