Abstract :
The results of this study conducted in the advanced insect laboratory \ Department of biology \ Faculty of Education for Girls \ University of Kufa, for the year 2017-2018 for evaluate the effects of both the aqueous extract of Myrtus communis and Eucalyptus Spp extracts and aquatic spores suspension of Bacillus thuringiensis with different concentrations and their effects on the different biological aspects of the greater wax moth Galleria mellonella Results showed the use of the aqueous extract Myrtle , Eucalyptus and bacterial spore on the eggs and larvae of the greater wax moth using four Concentrations (4,3,2.1) mg / ml.
The treated eggs recorded the highest mortality percentages (90, 79 and 75.3%) when the eggs were treated with a concentration of 4 mg / ml of the aqueous extract of Eucalyptus , Myrtle and aquatic spores bacterial suspension respectively. The results indicated that the mortality percentages are based on the concentration used and on the type of plant extract or bacterial spore suspension. The highest mortality percentages was found in the first instars larvae (86.6, 70 and 66.6) % when treated with 4 mg / ml of bacterial suspended spores, Eucalyptus and Myrtle extracts, respectively.
The highest mortality percentages in the fourth instars larvae (70, 63.3 and 53.3) % were recorded when treated with 4 mg / ml concentration of aquatic bacterial suspended spores and the aqueous extract of Myrtle and Eucalyptus respectively.
The rates of the length and weight of the treated seventh instar larvae ,as eggs ,first instar or second instar recorded the lowest weight or length.
