This research was conducted with the aim of investigating the effect of project management areas on the success and quality improvement of construction projects (by choosing a project in Najaf Ashraf province), the members of the research community included engineers working in construction projects in Najaf province in Iraq. Their total number is about 175 people. Considering the characteristics of the statistical society and the small number and availability of all members, a simple random sampling method was chosen and 120 people were selected as a statistical sample using Morgan's sample size formula. Therefore, according to the random sampling method and consultation with a statistical consultant, 130 engineers working in the construction projects of Najaf province in Iraq were randomly selected and distributed questionnaires, which finally after many follow-ups And in total, 120 completed questionnaires were selected as the final sample. In this research, two PMBOK project management standards questionnaires were used. This questionnaire has 88 questions and 10 dimensions. And the standard questionnaire of Turner and Muller (2004) was used as factors related to construction industry projects. This questionnaire has 29 questions and 5 dimensions. The distribution status of the variables was investigated using the Kolomogrov and Smirnov tests, all of which were normal. The information obtained from the questionnaires was analyzed using the structural equation model test, and the results were as follows: based on the main hypothesis, it was determined that project management standards have a significant impact on achieving the goals of construction projects in Najaf Ashraf province by 63%. And in the sub-hypotheses, it was determined that the dimension of integrity management is 66%, the dimension of scope management is 58%, the dimension of time management is 53%, the dimension of cost management is 80%, the dimension of quality management is 71%, and the dimension of human resources management is 75%, communication management dimension by 70%, stakeholder management dimension by 68%, risk management dimension by 54% and procurement management dimension by 64% have a significant impact on achieving the goals of construction projects in Najaf Ashraf province. According to the establishment of structural equation conditions, all assumptions were accepted.
