The current study was carried out in Najaf governorate within the Kufa district to measure the contamination rate in the Euphrates River (Shatt al-Kufa) and the length of the study area was approximately 25 km. The purpose of this study is to determine the variables (physical and chemical) affecting water quality ( such as temperature, color, taste, and pH and electrical conductivity and dissolved salts and solids floor) within the study area and connect them with remote sensing technology through linking the results of these tests with the values of the reflectivity spectral extraction, correlation coefficient and measuring the concentration of solids total solid (TSS) in water for different sites of Najaf province and compare them with the concentrations estimated through satellite images, the samples were collected study of (10) sites on (2019-8-28) starting from the north of Kufa - The Zarqa area south of the Kufa bridge cement factory, measurements were made between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. in conjunction with the Landsat 8 satellite imagery (oli Results of the correlation analysis between the reflectivity (r) of the degrees of remote sensing and (TSS) in the Kufa Laboratory-Association for Life Sciences, Band (4) the highest correlation and accuracy reached: ((r = 0.935, R² = 0.876, RMSE = 0.3033, MRE = 0.0177%) in While band (1) was less coherent and accurate as it reached: ((r = 0.312, R² = 0.097, RMSE = 6.523 mg/l, MRE = 0.392%).
