Abstract Over time, the need for creativity has grown in a world where organizations are growing with changes in work environments. Therefore, creativity in these organizations has become one of the necessary requirements imposed by a set of variables, such as economic, social, cultural, or technological variables. The study aimed to address the concept of emotional intelligence, and to examine the extent of its impact on the achievement of creative excellence. The directors of the departments and the people of As-Sadr Teaching Hospital in Najaf were selected to be the sample of the study; the questionnaire was the main source of data collection. The questionnaire consisted of seven measures for measuring the variables of the study four of which to measure the variable of emotional intelligence (self-awareness, self-management, self-motivation, and social awareness); and three measures to measure the variable of creative excellence (individual level, social level, and organizational level), 57 questionnaires were distributed, 49 these questionnaires were retrieved for statistical analysis (86%). The study relied on a number of statistical methods for analyzing data using the Statistical Package of Social Sciences (SPSS V.20). After the analysis of the data, the research found that there is an impact of the two variables of emotional intelligence (self-awareness, self-management) in achieving creative excellence, and the absence of the impact of creative excellence in emotional intelligence. The study made a number of recommendations, the most important of which is the need to give staff in hospitals and institutions a role of importance Training in honing the skills of employees and raising their abilities, because they have a role in creating and enhancing the activities of emotional intelligence
