Effects of dietary herb supplements for ewes on milk contents and some biochemical parameter

AuthorsIbraheem eryan Ibrhim, لايوجد
JournalGlobal Journal of Bio-Science and Biotechnology (GJBB)
Abstract

ABSTRACT This experiment was conducted on 9 Awassi ewes of similar weight (BW around 50 Kg) and age (45-48 months) for 60 days, were equally divided into three dietary treatments. Group 1 served as a control group received drinking water, groups 2 and 3 have given water with garlic (Allium sativum) and ginger (Zingiber officinale) extract by 2 ml/2 liter per day in the water drinking respectively. All groups were fed the basal diet; while Ekomilk was used to analysis milk samples. No significant effect was found in Lactose, fat, pH, FP and DEN, while protein and NSF improved (P<0.05) by adding garlic and zinger in water drinking at 1st and 3rd weeks, However, No significant difference were observed in creatinine, ALT and AST, While the cholesterol and glucose were decreased (P<0.05) at 3th, 4th and 1st, 3th, and 4th respectively.

Abstract

Abstract This study was designed to compare the values of some hematological parameters in some farm animals estimated by Automated Analyzer and Manual method estimation. The blood samples were collected randomly from five animals from each of the following species; cow, sheep and goat (5 sample for each). The blood samples were divided into two parts, the first were used for manual estimation and the second was analyzed by automated hematology analyzer.. The blood profile showed no significant variation ( p; < 0.05) in White Blood Cells (WBC), Red Blood cells (RBC) between all animals groups. The results of this study showed significant differences that revealed decreased in the Hemoglobin (HB) (20 g/dl) and (20.5g/dl) in cow and sheep respectively and increased of Package Cell Volume(PCV) (33.33%) . However, goat revealed significant increase in Package Cell Volume and Hemoglobin (6.04%and 21g/dl).

Abstract

This experiment are accrued to study effect of addition of garlic powder and nigella sativa of biochemical and production characteristic in broiler chicken , the group experimental roundly divided in to three groups as following group one control the second and third give 4% garlic powder and nigella sativa respectively in day 25 to 45 of experiment. The result show decreasing in significant concentration of mean of albumin , total protein and glucose in broiler that feed on ration contain garlic powder and nigella sativa in 4% in concentration of significant (p<0.05) and non significant changes in cholesterol concentration mean and heart weight , as well as nigella sativa group show significant decreases in live weight. This experiment was shown decrease in feed conception in garlic group than black seeds group when compared with control group .

Abstract

Objectıve: Objective: To obtain data on communicable diseases in a country or a region has an important place in the planning of activities for the prevention and control of the diseases. The aim of this descriptive study is to determine the characteristics of diseases notified between 2005 and 2008, and to evaluate the lack of information in the notification forms. Methods: Material and method: The characteristics of diseases notified in the last four years were evaluated using notification forms. Results: Results: Between 2005-2008, 1199 communicable diseases were notified; 56.6% of the cases were male, 42.3% were in the age group of 15-49. Group A diseases and, in general, rabies and rabies risky contact, tuberculosis and salmonellosis were the most frequently notified. Most of the notifications were made by the department of emergency medicine. It was observed that there was great lack of information about the occupation of the patients in the notification forms. Conclusıon: Conclusion: As a result, there are some errors in the notification and coding of the communicable diseases. There is a need for the appropriate and continuing training of health workers on these subjects.
