Abstract: The experiment was conducted in the lath house of the Department of Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture, University
of Kirkuk, for the period from 2019-2020. This study is about the effect of growth regulators (Salicylic acid and Brassinolide)
on the vegetative and flowering characteristics of cultivar Yellow erect. The experiment relied on spraying the plant with four
concentrations of SA (0, 50, 100, 200) mg.l-1 and three concentrations of BL (0, 20, 40) mg.l-1. The spraying process was carried
out twice, the first after a month of planting and the second on 21 days after the first spray. The SA treatments led to a
significant increase in most of the studied traits of vegetative growth and the results when using the concentration (200) mg.l-
1 led to an increase in plant height, the number of branches, number of leaves, leaf area, chlorophyll content in leaves, wet
weight and dry weight. Whereas, Salicylic acid with a concentration of 20 mg.l-1 led to an increase in the thickness of the stem,
while the concentration of 40 mg.l-1 improve most of the floral growth parameters, the date of the first flower to 167 days, The
number of flowers, the diameter of the flower, the length of the flower stalk, the diameter of the flower stalk, the flowering age
and fresh and dry weight of the flower. As for the growth regulator (BL), the study confirmed that a high concentration of it
increases the characteristics of vegetative growth. Concentration of 40 mg.l-1 led to an increase in plant height, the thickness
of the stem, the number of branches, the number of leaves and the dry weight. Whereas when using the concentration was
20 mg.l-1, the results were an increase in the leaf area, chlorophyll content and wet weight. As for the effect of BL on the
characteristics of flowering growth, the results were at concentration of 40 mg.l-1, the date of the appearance of the first flower,
the number of flowers, the length of the stem of the flower, the diameter of the floral stem, the flowerage, the wet and dry
weight. Whereas, at a concentration 20 mg.l-1, there was a significant increase in the length of the floral stem.
