Ebtesam Najim Abdullah AlShemmary

Prof. Dr. Ebtesam AlShemmary holds an MSc and PhD in Control and Systems Engineering/Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Technology, Baghdad (1999, 2007). Currently, she serves as Chair of the Scientific Committee at the IT-RDC, University of Kufa. Her research specializes in AI-driven mechatronics and intelligent systems, with a strong focus on robotics, biomedical engineering, and AI-based signal and image processing.

Dr. AlShemmary is a recognized expert in machine learning applications for biometrics and automatic identification systems, contributing to advancements in AI-powered health analytics, medical diagnostics, and smart IT solutions. Her work bridges AI, mechatronics, and biomedical research, with publications in leading local and international journals.

In addition to her academic leadership roles—including rapporteur of the Computer Department at the Faculty of Education for Women—she actively contributes to the AI and engineering communities as Section Editor of iJITS and a reviewer for prestigious journals such as IEEE and IET. Her involvement in scientific and examination committees further underscores her commitment to advancing AI and intelligent systems in academia and industry.
