This study presents a new, straightforward, and precise spectrophotometric technique for determining the amount of paracetamol. The azo dye is formed using a new chromogenic reagent, orcinol, to produce an orange-reddish result that is detected at 514 nm. UV-visible and other spectroscopy methods were used to confirm the newly synthesized compound's molecular structure. The azo dye derivative produced was tested against four bacterial species in vitro. A linear connection between the concentration range of 0.8-20.5 μg. mL-1 of paracetamol was achieved under carefully controlled experimental conditions that impact the response. In addition to the molar absorptivity of 12.54×106 L.mol-1.cm-1, the regression coefficient (R2) was 0.9961. For the purpose of determining paracetamol in the pharmaceutical business, the suggested methodology was successfully adjusted
