Abstract:
The experiment was determined at the research station of the Faculty of Agriculture - University of Kufa during the agricultural season 2023-2024 to demonstrate the role of jasmonic acid and nanomagnesium in the growth and flowering of the freesia plant. The corms, the yellow Wintergold variety, produced by the Turkish company Asyalale, were planted on 10/20/2023 in plastic pots with Diameter 25 cm and contains an agricultural medium consisting of soil (river zamig) and peat moss in a ratio of 3:1, weighing 5 kg, at a rate of one plant per pot. The experiment included a study of two factors: the first was jasmonic acid, at four concentrations (0, 10, 20, and 30) mg.L1, and the second factor was nanomagnesium, at four concentrations: (0, 40, 80, and 120) mg.L1. The spraying was done three times for both agents, the first spray. When the true and second leaves appeared 21 days after the first spraying, the treatments were applied in a factorial experiment with two factors and three replications. The experiment was carried out using a randomized complete block design (R.C.B.D) Randomized complete Block Design 4×4×3 = 48. The data was analyzed using the analysis of variance method (ANOVA) and comparison was made. According to the Least Significant Difference test (L.S.D) and at the probability level (0.05). Spraying jasmonic acid at a concentration of 30 mg.L-1 with nanomagnesium at a concentration of 120 mg.L-1 led to a significant increase in plant height, number of leaves, number of inflorescences, number of florets per inflorescence, leaf content of total chlorophyll, and total soluble carbohydrates. And carotene reached 54.00 cm, 8.33 leaf.plant-1, 5.07 inflorescence.plant-1, 11.66 floret.inflorescence-1, 44.08 mg.100 g-1, 8.16 mg.g-1, 6.55 compared to the control treatment, which amounted to 28.53 cm. 4.33 leaf.plant-1, 3.00 inflorescence.plant-1, 10.33 floret.inflorescence-1, 22.25 mg.100 g-1, 4.50 mg/g-1 and 4.12, respectively.
