The racial debates have continued between two groups of theorists: the first are the proponents of racist theory and the second are the anti-racists. The controversy has taken a long time to obtain effective answers to many questions, for example: Do people differ in their mental abilities? This study investigates many of the literature that has examined human diversity, especially with regard to mental capacity. The purpose of this investigation is to respond to the racial theory and to prove that all human beings belong to one human race with some natural diversity between them and that race in the biological sense is a false concept, while in the cultural sense it shows human diversity.

يتناول هذا البحث موضوع المرأة ودورها في المجتمع وخاصة في المجتمع الإسلامي، إذ يناقش البحث بالنقد والتحليل وبالاستناد على النظرية البنائية الوظيفية في علم الاجتماع، أهم الأدوار الاجتماعية التي تؤديها المرأة المسلمة من خلال قراءة نقدية للتراث الإسلامي. وقد أثبتت الدراسة تبوأ المرأة العديد من الأدوار الاجتماعية المهمة والمفصلية في كيان المجتمع وفي مختلف الانساق الاجتماعية.

تمثل ممارسة الشعائر الدينية واحدة من أهم صور تجسيد الهوية بين أبناء الجاليات بما تمثله من فرصة لأبناء الجاليات للاتصال بجذورهم الثقافية والاجتماعية والدينية. توظف الدراسة المنهج الاثنوغرافي في تقديم وصف لواحدة من أهم الممارسات الدينية التي يحرص أفراد الجالية العراقية في ميشيغان على تأديتها وهي مسيرة الأربعين.

The Iraqi Al-Amal Association, within the program for the protection of human rights defenders funded by the European Union and in cooperation with the Austrian University of Innsbruck, organized a training workshop in Erbil for the period from 28 August to 1 September on international humanitarian law in peace studies, which included the participation of 18 male and female academics from eight faculties of Baghdad universities Al-Mustansiriya, Anbar, Mosul and Kufa.
