بكالوريوس في اللغة الإنجليزية وآدابها عام 1974 من كلية الآداب -جامعة بغداد. ماجستير في اللغة الإنجليزية عام 1983 من جامعة ويلز -المملكة المتحدة. دكتوراه في اللغة الإنجليزية (علم اللغة التطبيقي) عام 1988 من جامعة ويلز -المملكة المتحدة. شهادة مدرّسي اللغة الإنجليزيّة من مؤسّسة أونتاريو لتدريس اللغة الإنجليزيّة كلغة أجنبيّة، آذار 2012، كندا. شهادة أستاذ لغة إنجليزيّة معتمد من مؤسّسة أونتاريو لتدريس اللغة الإنجليزيّة كلغة أجنبيّة، كانون الثاني 2012، كندا. شهادة مهارات الترجمة الفوريّة من مؤسّسة الترجمة الفوريّة الثقافيّة في المجتمع الكندي، كانون الأوّل 2011، أتوا، كندا.
الخبرة التدريسيّة:
أستاذ/ عميد كليّة اللغات والترجمة في جامعة الكوفة اعتباراً من 29 آب 2013 ولغاية الوقت الحاضر.
أستاذ مساعد / رئيس قسم اللغة الإنجليزيّة في كليّة الآداب ـ جامعة الكوفة اعتباراً من 7 تشرين الثاني 2013 ولغاية 10 أيّار 2014.
أستاذ مشارك في قسم اللغات الأجنبيّة ـ جامعة نزوى ـ ولاية نزوى ـ سلطنة عُمـــان من أيلول 2012 ـ لغاية أيّار 2013. أستاذ مشارك ورئيس قسم اللغة الإنجليزيّة ـ كليّة العلوم التطبيقيّة، وزارة التعليم العالي العمانيّة ـ ولاية نزوى ـ سلطنة عُمـــان من أيّار 2005 ـ لغاية أيّار 2011. أستاذ مشارك في قسم الدراسات اللغوية - كلية التربية ـ وزارة التعليم العالي العمانية - ولاية نزوى - سلطنة عُمان من أيلول 2001- ولغاية أيّار 2005. أستاذ مشارك في قسم اللغات الأجنبية والترجمة - كلية الآداب - جامعة العلوم التطبيقية -عمّان – الأردن، من أيلول 1997- لغاية آب 2001. مدرّس في قسم اللغة الإنجليزية في كلية التراث الجامعة - بغداد 1989 -1997. مدرّس لغة إنجليزيّة في معهد اللغات العسكري في بغداد في أثناء خدمة الاحتياط من تشرين الأوّل 1988 ولغاية حزيران 1989. مدرّس لغة إنجليزيّة في معهد النفط ببغداد من حزيران 1978 ولغاية آب 1981.
الجمعيّات العلمية والأكاديمية:
زميل معهد علماء اللغة – لندن ـ المملكة المتحدة، اعتباراً من 2002. عضو الجمعية البريطانية لعلم اللغة التطبيقي –لندن ـ المملكة المتحدة، اعتباراً من 2002. عضو الجمعية الكنديّة لعلم اللغة التطبيقي-أوتوا ـ كندا، اعتباراً من 2007. عضو مؤسّسة أونتاريو لتدريس اللغة الإنجليزيّة كلغة أجنبيّة، هاملتن، كندا، اعتباراً من 2008. عضو جمعيّة المترجمين والمترجمين الفوريّين في مقاطعة أونتاريو، كندا، اعتباراً من كانون الثاني 2011.
