Abstract

In this work, we applied the nuclear shell model to study the energy levels for   54 54 26 28 Fe Ni & nucleus which contain two holes outside 56 28Ni core and occupy the 7 2 0f shell .In these calculations used computer program MatLab 2016 to calculate Modified Surface Delta Interaction (MSDI) is employed as a residual interaction. Comparison with experimental values and found to be rather good agreement.

Determing Energy Levels of 56Co Using ( MSDI) of The Nuclear Shell Model

AuthorsD.N.HAMED
JournalJournal of Kerbala University , Vol. 547 No.4 Scientific . 2014
Abstract

The nuclear energy levels for nucleus 56Co have been calculated within Nuclear Shell Model (N.S.M.) using Modified Surface Delta Interaction ( MSDI ) as the residual interaction between two nucleon as finding spectra of 50Sc we obtain the energy levels of the 56Co energy levels of configuration (particle-hole) in model space (0 1 ) 3 2 1 7 2 l l f p  . Computer programs is apply to calculate the Clebsch-Gordan , Racah coefficient and matrix elements which use to get the energy levels for all allowable total angular momentum . After comparing the theoretical results by using (MSDI) and considering the experimental results a fine identification was found between them.

Abstract

In this paper, energy levels were calculated for two nuclei (14 8O6 , 14 6C8) by applying the nuclear shell model by using modified surface delta interaction (MSDI).The (MSDI) succeeded in energy levels calculation for the configuration (hole-hole ( ,this case facilitated the calculation of many holes outside closed shell by using the configuration (hole-hole). Computer programs were used to calculate important coefficients involved mainly in calculating energy levels include Clebch - Gordan , Racha coefficient and matrix element for two bodies by using modified surface delta interaction. Comparison the current values with the experimental values , it was found current values were in perfect agreement with the experimental values
