مختصر البحث

Dental caries is one of the most common infectious diseases prevalent in the oral cavity, and it is an inflammatory disease with a multi-factor etiology. IL-6, IL-8, and TNF-α are two types of cytokines that are major mediators of acute inflammation, and are necessary for the development of specific immune responses

Background.Chronic periodontitis(CP) is disease that causes loss of the supporting structures of teeth, cementum, alveolar bone and periodontal ligaments. Cytokines are important mediators of immune responses. Interleukins play a major role in gum disease and can be used as diagnostic markers

Because health resources are limited, low-income conditions demand affordable technological development. The design and analysis is a low-cost colorimetric method for non-invasive diabetic diagnostic monitoring by glucose detection of the saliva and blood discussed, where a new compound (HAZM) was prepared through a reaction 4-aminoantipyrine with 1-phenyl-2-methyl-5-pyrazolon; FTIR, 1HNMR, and 13CNMR diagnosed for this synthetic compound. Samples have been processed and analyzed using the production equipment using glucose oxidase (GO) and peroxidase (PO) enzymes reaction with (HAZM); give the method the ability to calculate glucose level in less than 15 seconds accurately. The slope of the calibration curve is equal to 0.0026, ε = 468.26, and Sandel sensitive equals 0.384 mg/dL, to quantify the glucose salivary concentrations and blood (5-500 mg/dL) at 423 nm. Achieve a detection limit of 0.421 mg/dL where 5 % CV to (n = 3). Because HAZM tests performed according to a kit method, which reflects the mean kit values (101.35 ± 3.647 mg/dL) and the results of HAZM (104.41 ± 4.951 mg/dL) with 3.1 mg/dL positive bias in blood. Comparing the mean kit and HAZM glucose levels in saliva, 99.48 ± 1.26, and 100.97 ± 2.38 mg/dL, respectively, shows 1.5 mg/dL positive bias for the kit process. Results from the

Typhoid fever is one of the most prevalent diseases in developing countries with high significant morbidity and mortality rates. In this study 120 patients with typhoid fever (males and females) aged 20 to 50 years, and 60 healthy individuals in the same age as a control group, from Al-Sader teaching medical city in Najaf/Iraq, from 1stMarch 2019 to the end of September2019 to assess their liver function and pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-6 andIL-8)levels in their serum. Mean value to serum levels of liver enzymes: alkaline phosphatase (ALP), alanine transaminases (ALT) and aspartate transaminases (AST) were (130±9.8IU/l; 31.4±5.9IU/l; 26.8±4.2IU/l), respectively in Typhoid fever patients (P<.05 for each). Patients also showed significant increase in ABSTRACT the concentration of IL–6 (157±5.2pg/ml), IL–8 (136±7.1pg/ml), and C- reactive protein (CRP) 41±3.4 mg/l (P<0.001 for each) compared to healthy subjects 40±6.3 pg/ml; 37±5.9 pg/ml and 9±2.2 mg/l, respectively (P<.001). مختصر البحث

Disorders of gall bladder are common and remain as one of the main patients’ chief complaints that might lead to surgical interventions. High level of bilirubin causes gallstones in patients with hereditary spherocytosis (HS). It is often misdiagnosed, because these deposits of bilirubin can be easily broken down in the gallbladder. Gallstones develop in less than half of patients with mild HS and do not always cause symptomatic biliary tract disease. HS is a genetic defect in red blood cells, caused by defects in structural membrane proteins. It is characterized by a decrease the surface area to volume ratio in erythrocytes due to the heterogeneous changes in the various genes that encode for proteins. A 14-year old male was brought to Medical Park hospital/Turki at the emergency room with a sudden onset of pain in the right upper quadrant, vomiting, anemia and jaundice. The patient

Background: Wound healing is a very complex process, varied and influenced by numerous feature such as the size ,severity nature of the injury and the site of the wound and is consists of four steps: hemostasis, inflammatory reaction, proliferation and remodeling, all of which are regulated by cytokine and growth factors released by cells in the wound area Medicinal plants have been used for many years for different treatment, sesame oil is one of these medications. The functional activity of lignans present in sesame seeds has become of the major interest.

مختصر البحث

Background: Periodontitis (PD), the most common oral disease, is a destructive inflammatory disease of the teeth supporting tissues and is caused by group of specific microorganisms included: Porphyromonas gingivalis, Prevotella intermedia, Tannerella forsythia, and Aggregatibacter actinomycetem-comedias and this condition is categorized by both destruction of connective tissue and alveolar bone due to a chronic inflammation. In periodontitis the clinical findings of bone resorption and the clinical attachment loss around the tooth are a result of inflammatory mediated alterations to remodeling balance of the bone.

ngival sulcus depth in diabetic and non diabetic patients

مختصر البحث

Background: Gingival sulcus; Its an invagination extends between the gingiva and the surface of the tooth, it extends vertically from the free gingival margin to the dentogingival junction, gingival sulcus normally has a depth at about 0.5-3 mm, with an average of 1.8mm. Any depth greater than 3mm generally can be considered a pathological state and a sulcus in this deep is known as periodontal pocket. The floor of gingival sulcus and epithelium cervical to it termed as junctional epithelium, the wall of the gingival sulcus is lined by sulcular epithelium which is non keratinized stratified sequemous epithelium thinner than epithelium of gingiva, it has no epithelial ridges, so it forms a smooth interface with lamina properia, it continuous with gingival epithelium from above and with junctional epithelium from below. Junctional epithelium or attachment epithelium or dentogingival junction normally it extends from the bottom of the gingival sulcus towards the cementoenamel junction. The aim of this study was to determine the relative influence of blood glucose level on the depth of the gingival sulcus in diabetic and non diabetic persons.
