AbstractIn the current study a ruthenium (II) metal complex [Ru(bpy)2(H2saltsc)]+(bpy= 2,2’-bipyridine)
(2saltsc=salicylaldehyde thiosemicarbazone) was investigated using DFT/B3LYP with different basis sets.
The results showed that the geometric properties a good agreement with experimental data. Three metal
complexes were designed and suggested as new isotopes of the ruthenium metal complex. The energy
gab of the new ruthenium metal complexes were in the range 0.7034 to 0.7644 eV, this value makes the
ruthenium metal complexes have applications lie in the semiconductor region. The calculations obtained
that the compound A4 has a smaller energy gab and high molecular polarizability, also more active to
interact with other molecules or species than the compounds A1, A2 and A3 according to the quantum
chemical parameters. In addition, the highest fraction of electrons transferred is connected with the best
inhibitor, while the least fraction is related to the inhibitor that has the least inhibition efficiency. In general,
the results showed that the ruthenium metal complexes have high ability to interact with other species or
molecules such as DNA and cells of cancer.

AbstractEleven samples of salt were collected from local markets in Iraq for the
purpose of identifying which types were more radioactive and the radiation efficacy
of the external hazard index, outdoor absorbent dose, internal hazard index and
indoor absorbed dose and Radium equivalent activity (Raeq) also finding an effective
dose due to ingestion where the maximum value of a specific uranium activity was
recorded in sample S4, which was (32.138Bq/kg). The lowest value was recorded in
sample S8, which was (4.432 Bq/kg). It should be noted that sample S8 is Turkish
origin specific activity of 232Th, the highest value was (12.456Bq/kg) recorded in
sample S9, while the lowest value was (1.426 Bq/kg) and recorded in sample S7.
Also calculate Effective dose Dose(Sv/y) by using equation (7) for 40K was 10.088
Sv/y , 226Ra was 1.152 Sv/y and 232Th was 1.660 Sv/y.

AbstractIn this article, the relativistic nonlinear self-focusing of a right circular polarized laser beam propagated through
magnetized plasma was investigated. The high power of laser beam which resulted from the self-focusing effect
was exploited to excite an electromagnetic wave to the terahertz frequency range. By controlling the external
longitudinal magnetic field, a high stabilized terahertz field was observed. At terahertz frequency (1THz) where
the initial laser beam radius (x0 = 20 μm) and initial laser beam intensity (I0 = 10 W/cm )
17 2 , the highest terahertz
radiation power attained was about tens of gigawatts that associated with best stabilization seen.

AbstractUn-doped and lithium (2, 4 and 6) M% doped copper oxide (CuO) thin films were deposited on a glass substrate using successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction (SILAR) method. Structural, surface morphology, optical and photoluminescence characteristics of un-doped and Li- doped CuO thin films were investigated with respect to Li content. The x-ray diffraction (XRD) results showed that the crystal structure of the deposited films was polycrystalline in nature with monoclinic phase. The average crystallite size of un-doped CuO films was 35.31 nm and decreased to 21.17 nm and 17.65 nm as the lithium dopant content increased to (2 and 6) M%, while the crystallite size was increased to 42.37 nm when Li content 4 M%. The EDX spectra confirmed the existence of the elements of the films. The transmittance of CuO films was decrease from 64% to 50% with increasing of Li dopant content. The values of optical band gap was observed to be at (1.77, 1.65, 1.58 and 1.62) eV with respect to (0, 2, 4 and 6) M% of Lithium dopant concentration. The Photoluminescence spectra reveal that the near band gap emission (NBE) peak is in the visible region at around 690 nm (1.797 eV) that corresponds to the red emission. The Li-doped films did not exhibit any new emissions whereas there is a noticeable decrement in the intensities of the peaks with the increase of Li-dopant concentration.

AbstractIn this study, pure and Ag doped ZnS thin films were prepared onto glass substrates using spray pyrolysis deposition (SPD) method. 0.1 M and 0.2 M of zinc chloride ZnCl2, thiourea (NH2)2CS and 0.1 M of silver nitrite Ag (NO3) 2 as a source of Zn, S and Ag respectively. The spray deposition parameters was kept at nozzle – substrate distance 30 ± 1 cm, air pressure 1 mbar, spray time 3 minute and substrate temperature was 450 oC. Structural and optical properties have been studied using x-ray diffraction technique in the diffraction angle rang (20-50)o and UV-Vis spectrophotometer in the wavelength range (300-800) nm. The effect of Ag dopant content on the structure parameters such as crystallite size and lattice constants (a, c) and on the optical transmittance, absorbance and forbidden energy gap were investigated. XRD measurements demonstrated that ZnS thin films had polycrystalline structure with hexagonal phase. The average crystallite size was increased from (16.63 nm to 37.80 nm) by increasing Ag concentration from pure to 8% Ag while the dislocation density and the strain decrease with increase of dopant concentration due to enhancement of crystallinity. In the ultraviolet region, the optical transmittance of these films with changing of dopant concentrations of silver was observed to be more than (92%) and the optical absorption edge shifted toward lower wavelengths "blue shift". The value of energy band gap of ZnS films was found to be at (3.02, 2.91, 3 and 3.15) eV with (0, 4, 6 and 8) % of silver dopant concentration, the broadening of the band gap was due to Burstein–Möss effect. From these results it can be conclude that the fabricated ZnS: Ag thin films was suitable for solar cells, optical coating and blue LED applications.

AbstractIn this paper, films of pure poly-methyl methacrylate PMMA and doped with Eosin-Y dye with (0.1 mm)
thickness were prepared by solution casting technique. A (1 gm) of PMMA polymer in the shape of grain were solved in
(100 ml) of chloroform. Eosin-Y dye added to the polymer in different concentration (10-4, 10-5,10-6mol/L). The optical
properties (Absorbance, Transmittance, Reflectance) of the pure and doped films were studied by using the spectrometer
in the range (200-800 nm). The optical constants: Absorption Coefficient, Refractive Index (n), Energy Gap (Eg),
Extinction Coefficient (k), for pure of polymethyl methacrylate PMMA and doped by Eosin-Y dye were calculated. These
studies have done to show the effect of adding the Eosin-Y dye on the optical properties of pure PMMA. The results show
shifting to the visible area for the optical properties and decreasing in the optical constants after adding the dye.
