Abstract

Abstract A series of new macrocycles based on alkyl glycosides derived from D-glucose and D-galactose was synthesized. The macrocycles were easily obtained by the reaction of dialkynyl derivatives with diazides via copper-catlyzed 1,3-cycloaddition reaction. Simple protecting group strategies were applied to obtain the vicinal dihydroxy derivatives, followed by Williamson etherification with propargyl bromides to get the dialkynyl derivatives. These derivatives were subjected to 1,3-Hüisgen triazole coupling with diazides furnishing the macrocycles in good yields. The 1,3-Hüisgen reaction used to build these macrocycles was investigated thoroughly with respect to reaction time, catalysts, solvents, and temperature for optimum macrocyclisation.

Abstract

A number of aminoacetylenic isoindoline-1,3-dione (phthalimide) were prepared through the reaction of phthalimide with potassium hydroxide then alkylation process were carried out for this salt in order to afford N-propargylphthalimide(A1) .The Mannich reaction (three component one pot reaction) was carried out by using the N-propynylphthalimide (A1), with different aldehydes in presence of morpholine or piperidine, as a secondary amines, to yield the desired compounds(A2-A6).The FT-IR, 1HNMR and elemental analysis were consistent with the assigned structures, these compounds also have been tested biologically against bacteria Proteus vulgaris.

Abstract

Abstract This work presents the synthesis and application of novel triazolyl starch derivatives (TABS) designed for the efficient removal of heavy metal ions from aqueous solutions. The synthetic pathway involves tosylation of natural starch, azidation, and copper-catalyzed azide–alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) with propargylated aromatic aldehydes to yield triazolyl-functionalized starch. Structural and morphological features were confirmed by FT-IR, SEM, and EDX analyses. The adsorption performance of TABS was evaluated under various pH values, contact times, and Pb²+ concentrations, showing a maximum removal efficiency of 99% and adsorption capacity of 99.0 mg g-1. The enhanced affinity is attributed to chelation through triazole rings and aldehyde groups. Derived from renewable starch and demonstrating low antibacterial activity, TABS represents a promising, low-toxicity material for sustainable water purification applications.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: There is a growing interest in developing the antibacterial properties of hydrophilic polymers. Methods: In this research, new grafting cellulose based on amino-carboxylic acids are obtained, and their biological activities are evaluated. The sequences are started by treating cellulose with tosylate chloride to get 2, which further reacts with sodium azide. Results: To produce compound 3. Azide reduction to amino analog by sodium sulfide produces compound 4. The alkylation with chloroacetic acid compound 5 is obtained with amino-acid residue 5. Conclusions: Finally, extensive antibacterial studies have been performed against two types, Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. The results demonstrated that the novel derivatives may influence bacteria at low concentrations, and their water solubility could lead to them being biocompatible agents.

Abstract

Abstract Intake of toxic metals via food is one of the main routes of exposure for the general public throughout their daily lives. The world's spread of food sources, besides the contaminated systems of fertilizing and irrigation water sources, has grown the importance of foodborne poses to metallics in jointly industrialized and developing countries. However, the globalization measures taken to decrease contamination and exposure to metals have also been effective. This survey will consider various issue aspects related to the effects of heavy metals in food on humans, the symptoms that are caused by them, their fusion in the food chain, and their sources
