erbal abuse is a very influencing category that can influence the degree of motivation and the class participation of the student. A designed questionnaire has been designed and distributed to thirty high school students, sixteen males and fourteen females in several high schools in Al Najaf. The results show that the degrees of the verbal abuse in the selected schools are very little and the teachers are very aware of the rules and regulations of the high schools teaching. It is not nil but very rare and it has been noticed that mine degree of abuse causes a degradation in the motivation of the students. The data analyses show that 70 % of the boy students prove that their teachers never behave badly with them. 18% of them stated that their teachers sometimes behave badly. The discussion shows that the girl students have experienced the bad behavior of their teachers more than the boys. 59 % of them never experience that type of misbehavior, and 26% of the selected girl students have sometimes experienced that bad behavior.

Abstract: Arabic is a very morphologically rich Semitic language so it has several dialects across the Arab homeland, the paper focuses on the similarities and differences between the Arabic dialects. The research tries to find out the most shares features among the Arabic dialects and decide a dialect a lingua franca of Arabic language to be used and taught as for learners of Arabic. This lingua franca dialect could be used outside the Arabic countries.

يعد هذا النوع من الجمل احد الوسائل باللغة الإنجليزية التي يمكن أن تساعد بالتركيز على جزء معين من الجملة وتأكيده و يكون ذلك عبر طرق متنوعة. ان الهدف من هذا البحث هو دراسة قدرة الطلبة الذين يدرسون اللغة الانكليزية كلغة اجنبية في استخدام هذا النوع من التراكيب. و من اجل التحقق من ذلك فقد تم بناء اختبار و اعطي هذا الاختبار لعدد من الدارسين للغلة الانجليزية كلغة اجنبية الذين من المفترض ان يكون هذا النوع من الجمل مألوفا بالنسبة اليهم لجعل الاختبار اختبارا موضوعيا و كذلك لجعل النتائج نتائج موثوق بها. و بالتالي فقد تم رسم الاستنتاجات و التحقق من صحة الفرضيات بالاعتماد على اجابات الاختبار بطريقة احصائية و عرض مناقشة للنتائج لإيجاد مكامن الضعف و القوة لدى الطلبة. Cleft sentences are devices in English that can help putting the focus on a particular part of a sentence and emphasize it by a variety of ways. The purpose of this research is to investigate the EFL students’ ability in producing this kind of structure. The investigation is built upon a test given to a number of subjects of EFL. The subjects, in turn, are supposedly acquainted to cleft sentence so as the investigation becomes objective and the results become reliable. Hence, verifying the research hypotheses and extracting some concluding remarks related to the problem in question are drawn by depending on the answers of the test in a statistical method then discussing them and finding weak and strong points.

This paper has explained the notion " obsession" as a speech act. By the help of some examples from the Holy Qura'an it has been proved that the pathological and normal obsessions are actually speech act.
