AbstractEnhancing Low-Dose Computed Tomography (LDCT) images is a crucial task in medical imaging, aimed at
mitigating the inherent noise and artifacts that compromise diagnostic accuracy while preserving the benefits of
reduced patient radiation exposure. This research introduces a novel hybrid intelligence model that achieves a
state-of-the-art enhancement by automating the complex design and optimization process of a deep learning
model. The proposed methodology pioneers a unique cooperation between metaheuristics and deep generative
networks; the model employs Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) to intelligently search a multi-dimensional
hyperparameter space, discovering the optimal learning rate, loss function weights, and a baseline CLAHE
parameter for a custom Generative Adversarial Network (GAN). The GAN generator is a U-Net architecture that
learns a residual correction, which is additively combined with the CLAHE-processed image to leverage the
strengths of both classical and deep learning techniques. The framework was extensively trained for 200 epochs
on 400 paired images from the public AAPM Low Dose CT Grand Challenge dataset. On an unseen test set, the
final model demonstrated remarkable improvements, significantly increasing the Structural Similarity Index
(SSIM) from approximately 0.8910 to 0.9306 and drastically reducing the perceptual LPIPS error from about
0.0948 to an exceptional 0.0442, while improving the NIQE score. By successfully bridging metaheuristic search
with a sophisticated GAN architecture, this work presents a robust, automated, and highly effective approach
that outperforms the baseline LDCT quality across key perceptual and structural metrics, providing a valuable
blueprint for future high-fidelity medical image enhancement systems.

AbstractStandard metrics such as SSIM often overlook complex chromatic distortions,
creating a gap between objective scores and human judgment. To address this, we present the
Synergistic Structural Similarity Index (SSSI), a metric grounded in a novel dual-pyramid
strategy that integrates Gaussian-blurred stability with direct subsampling sharpness. Our
method departs from luminance-only analysis by employing an equal, synergistic partnership
between the luminance (Y) and Green (G) channels, mirroring the eye's spectral sensitivity. On
the KADID-10k dataset, SSSI achieves an SROCC of 0.7793. This represents a significant 4%
performance gain over the standard SSIM baseline, demonstrating that integrating chromatic
data with dual-scale structural analysis provides a more accurate proxy for human visual
perception.

AbstractGenerative Adversarial Networks (GANs),
especially StyleGAN2, produce very realistic artificial human
faces, yet control over their output remains a significant
challenge. This paper introduces a technique for exploring the
latent space of a pre-trained StyleGAN2 model, and it allows for
the semantic control of facial features. The proposed
methodology suggests applying Principal Component Analysis
(PCA) directly to the W+ latent space to perform unsupervised
detection of the most significant variation directions. Both
quantitative and qualitative analyses proved that the major
components align with useful semantic features, including
gender (Component 0), age (Component 5), and pose
(Component 8). The efficiency of the proposed methodology is
presented in StyleGAN2-Space Navigator, an interactive
Gradio-based interface in which users can control these detected
features in real time. The methodology also allows us to generate
a potential semantically controlled synthetic dataset, which is
considered a way to decrease bias in existing face datasets. This
work provides a strong, reproducible method for controlling
generative models, providing a strong way for more
interpretable and steerable AI systems.

AbstractThe
proposal utilizes a U-Net-based generator with self-attention and skipconnections to preserve spatial fidelity, and a PatchGAN discriminator to
enforce local realism. At the heart of our contribution is a carefully weighted
multi-component loss function that applies reconstruction, perceptual, edge,
structural similarity (SSIM), and adversarial losses to optimize pixel-level
accuracy and perceptual quality. We trained and evaluated our proposal on
the large-scale real-world LMHaze dataset.

Abstract
In the proposed search, new technique for calculating the similarity among parts related to iris images for the selected person and among iris images will be suggested by dividing iris texture into pre decided number of parts and calculating some features of each one of these parts as a texture then calculating degree of similarity among specific part and all other parts of the same iris and with some irises in database according to some accepted rules. The proposed method divided iris texture into eight parts with (45 degrees) for each part, the features of GLCM algorithm will be calculated for parts of iris image then the distance or similarity between specific and required iris with other irises that will be stored in database will be calculated and finally, the similarity calculated between each part (with 45 degrees) of iris and parts of irises stored in database. The proposed system applied some suitable techniques for localized
