This research is concerned with the distribution of the capitals of ancient Iraqi cities using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). It applies spatial mean analysis to these capitals in order to determine whether their locations were chosen based on geographical coordinates or on natural factors. The study also addresses the distribution of capitals in the Sumerian, Babylonian, and Assyrian civilizations.

This study is concerned with examining the variation in the geographical distribution of blood groups in Najaf Governorate, as it is important for identifying specific blood types and their concentration in certain areas rather than others. In addition, it highlights the impact on public health through the compatibility and differences between blood groups, which may lead to the occurrence of diseases or health complications.

This research examines the most common diseases in Najaf Governorate and the role of the local environment—namely the alluvial plain and the western plateau—in increasing or decreasing their prevalence. It also studies how these diseases respond to these environments, along with analyzing their geographical distribution.
