A solvent extraction was applied using liquid ion exchange as a sensitive method to extract Germanium (IV) as anion complex K[GeO2(OH)2]- from basic media of KOH by used DB18C6 as a ligand dissolved in chloroform to form the ion pair association complex K-DB18C6+; K[GeO2(OH)2]-, the maximum wavelength of the extracted complex was λmax=290nm, and molar absorptive 1.269×103 L/mol.cm. the Beer's -lambert law was adhered to within the specified range (1-20)ppm. The limits of detection and quantity were 0.034 and 0.102 ppm, respectively. The research studied optimal conditions of extraction efficiency, such as KOH concentration, shaking time, methanol effect, and electrolyte effect. In addition, a new spectrophotometric method was utilized to determine the remain of Ge(IV) in aqueous solutions and to calculate its distribution ratio (D) using Janus green B. This method was more sensitive when comparing the results with previous studies. DB18C6 as a ligand was used to determine Germanium (IV) in some canned foods widely sold in Iraq. © 2024 Chemical Society of Pakistan. All rights reserved.

Highly sensitive method for separation and determination of micro amount of oxyanion for Mo (VI), W (VI), and Mn (VII) was performed. It has been done after formation of ion pair association complexes with Safranin as complexing agent including joint cloud point extraction with liquid ion exchange methods in the presence of non-ionic surfactant Triton X–100. The study is based on the values of wavelength of maximum absorbance,? max= 536, 533, and 534nm respectively. Optimal conditions have been pinpointed high extraction efficiency needed for HCl concentration (1.0, 1.0 and 0.6) M respectively in the presence of 50µg metal ions in 10mL aqueous solutions. Besides, the stoichiometry of probable extracted structure of ion pair complexes was1: 1: 1 for all extracted complex, in addition to other effective parameters on extraction efficiency in this stud

The twelve samples of agricultural soils from four regions in Al-Najaf governorate with sampling plant with soil. Physical properties of the soil where studied, such as electrical conductivity ranged from (136.33-1070.00) μS/cm-3, and moisture which ranged between the values (0.39-36.48)%. The chemical analysis of the soil have included the proportion of calcium carbonate the ratio between (44.00-48.00%) has been observed increasing amounts of calcium carbonate in surface models. The pH where results indicate that pH values were close to study models ranged between (6.88-7.42) these values generally within the normal range for the measured pH values of the Iraqi soil. The amount of gypsum ranged between the (1.36-4.32 meq/100g) proportion of organic matter in the soils studied models was high compared with the percentage of which is supposed to good soils for plant growth and the exten

The extraction of Co 2+ ions from the aqueous phase bynew laboratory prepared azo derivation as complex agent accordingly, 5-[(3, 4, 5-trimethoxyphenyl) methyl] pyrimidine-2, 4-diamineazo]-1-N-(4-hydroxyphenyl) acetamide reagent (L) has displayed adequate conditions for this extracting process under pH= 9, and shaking time of 10 minutes and 30 µg concentration of Co 2+ ion. The investigation of organic solvent's influence has shown no linear relation between the distribution ratio for the extraction of Co 2+ ion and dielectric constant (ε) of most used organic solvents. Nevertheless, there was an influence on the organic solvent structure in extracting Co 2+ ion and distribution ratio (D) values. Stoichiometric studies have clarified the most potential structure of the ion-pair complex extracted for Co 2+ with a 1: 1 ratio. The complexation reaction and the extraction thermodynamic both were in the exothermic phase. Using the electrolyte was given a perfect enhancement in extraction efficiency with higher extraction efficiency charge as a function of the ionic diameter of electrolyte cation for the smallest ionic diameter. Based on the study of the interference effect, all cations have shown an apparent interference with Co 2+. Still, in different levels of affinity, with the organic reagent L solvent extraction as a sensitive and selective method was used for spectrophotometric determination of Co 2+ in miscellaneous samples. The digestion of the samples was based on the dry digestion method. The prepared calibration curve at λ max= 523 nm has been used for determining the concentrations of Co 2+ in different samples.

In this article, a synthesized ligand [(1-phenyl-2-pyrazolin-5-one) azo (6-bromo-2-hydroxynaphthalen-1-yl)] has employed for preparing three new complexes of Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II). The new azo ligand (PABH) has analyzed by Micro Elemental Analysis (CHNO), UV-visible, Fourier Transform infrared (FTIR) approaches, 1H,13C-NMR spectroscopy and mass spectroscopy. The consequence has specified that the ligand was represented as N,N,O-tridentate. The preparing of complexes has accomplished after fixing the finest concentration and pH values. UV-Vis spectra of these complexes solutions have been examined for a range of pH (5-9) and concentration (1×10-4 - 5×10-4) Molar that comply with Lambert-Beers law. A stoichiometry of the complexes has comprehended in relation to mole ratio which has investigated from a spectroscopic technique. The ratio of metal: ligand was achieved with (1:2) for all complexes. The metal ions complexes were characterized by FTIR, UV-Visible, molar conductance, atomic absorption, magnetic susceptibility and elemental analysis CHNO techniques. From the results of physico-chemical and spectral techniques, octahedral geometry has been proposed for these metal complexes. All these compounds were evaluated against two kinds of human pathogenic bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus (Gram Positive) and Escherichia coli (Gram negative

مختصر البحثIn this paper, laboratory prepared azo derivative 2-[(4-Formyl phenyl) azo]-4,5-diphenyl imidazole (FPAPI) has been used as complexing agents for extraction Pb(II) and Cd(II) ions from aqueous solutions. Spectroscopy study was at λmax=533nm for ion pair complex of Pb(II) and λmax=543nm for ion pair complex of Cd(II) and all effective parameters on the extraction process were also studied. The optimum pH results for giving higher extraction efficiency of Pb(II) and Cd(II) were 8 and 9 respectively. In addition to other parameters such as shaking time, thermodynamics, an organic solvent, interferences, electrolytes, the paper has adopted different methods to determine the most feasible structural geometry of extracted ion-pair complex of [1:1]2+, anion, [Pb-FPAPI]2+, 2NO3-, [Cd-FPAPI]2+, 2NO3-.
