| Invitation to participate in the preparation of the Guidelines for military manuals and instructions on the protection of the natural environment in times of armed conflict

| Professor. Ahmed Obais Neima Al-fatlawi, received an invitation from the Head of the Legal Affairs Department of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to contribute in revision of the Guidelines for military manuals and instructions on the protection of the natural environment in times of armed conflict, through the presentation of views and comments on current legal norms.
The International Committee of the Red Cross, lunched this project accordance to the United Nations General Assembly, Resolution, (AIRES / 49/50, para. 1), currently this topic is one of the issues of agenda of the International Law Commission to updated it on the basis of the latest developments in accordance with the Code of Conduct of War (Jus in bello) The program will be launched at the beginning of 2019, through the review, and comment on developments in treaty and customary law that have occurred since 1994.
